I've been seeing Dr Yelverton for several years, the minute I met her I knew I found a provider that was truly supportive, empathetic and compassionate. My husband passed away and she's been helping me navigate this journey, I honestly don't know what I'd do without her advice and compassionate demeanor, she's truly been a blessing to me. read more

It's not surprising that there are only 3 reviews for this business. Let me add my input. The receptionist was nice. The facts regarding the credentials of the person I was scheduled to meet with was misleading at best. I scheduled an appointment with a doctor...MD or even PhD. Unfortunately, that is not what happened. I was trying to establish care with a provider after the sudden death of trusted doctor. Don't go to this place unless you want to be treated as a 'churn & burn' client. Their goal is not to help a patient seeking equivalent care, but instead to maximize billing codes and $$$$dollars. I left feeling insulted and GREATLY misunderstood. Yes, my previous doctor's skills outshine the so-called professionals at the MindPath Wilson NC Office. This world lost a caring, a knowledgeable, a committed professional and is the worse for his loss. Don't go here. Find a real professional. Respectfully. read more

My region has no psychiatrists or therapists with available spaces, who also take my insurance. A local business recommended them. It's easy to register online, fill out forms (even on mobile.) I called first to ask for practitioners licensed in my state, with openings, who took my insurance. They found 2 who ticked all the boxes, and found them quickly. Since coronavirus2019 has required physical distancing, telehealth appts are more accepted by insurance. This is so helpful for regions where mental health care has been decimated by Republican cutbacks. The two practitioners are terrific, helpful, empathic, kind. Meds management and therapy, thank goodness. read more

I have been in mental health care for over 20 years. A lot has changed but one thing that stands out above is that Dr. Yelverton goes above and beyond to listen without judgment, not force medications, leaves many options for therapy, counseling, and the atmosphere with her is so pure it's as if you're talking to a friend although she's very professional and abides by all policies. She doesn't let you run out of meds, if you need to ask something before an appointment she will contact you back. You're not just a chart with a number printed on it here, if a med doesn't work, okay she'll say how about this, what do YOU THINK!!! I am not fond of one member of the staff and her level of professionalism but the care from my dr means more then that. I look forward to seeing her every time. I'm actually going to call for treatment for my daughter. I highly recommend Mindpath and especially Takia Yelverton!!!! read more

They have no proper…read morefurniture and the patients and the employees there sometimes have to sit on the floor and do things. The employees have to bring their own work supplies from home even though they are employees and not independent contractors. This place has 6 months to do certain, important tasks, but waits till the last minute to do things, When I mean the last minute, they wait till the due date to do things. That is one of the reasons why the patients suffer so much. They give no proper training to the staff, so the staff often do not know what they are doing and sometimes their lives are put in jeopardy. One time, all the staff left at one time, so the company had a quick hiring and hired anyone that applied. This company has a high turnover rate for good reasons. It does not know how to treat its staff and does not give staff their payment sometimes. Sometimes the employee has to beg for it. One time they fired an employee because she was tired. They thought she had fallen asleep, but she did not. She was tired and there were people to vouch for her, but they fired her and did not give her her pay as far as I know. Favoritism is shown to the men here. When one woman stood up for herself in a respectable and decent way, she got fired. The person who heads this Wilson office is the friend of the CEO and does not have the proper credentials to have her job and lead the work team. It is so sad. It is such a disorganized company where the employees and patients both have to suffer.

I originally started seeing Christian with my former partner of five years. Christian respectfully helped us navigate an unhealthy relationship without judgement. After six months of therapy my partner and I parted. For the last year and a half I have seen Christian alone. Our sessions are filled with humor, hard hitting questions, metaphors, and esoteric wondering. He is smart, spiritual, balanced, family centered, and data/research-based. He has a killer memory, is professional, visionary, and down-to-earth. I am able to vomit all sorts of twisted experiences and Christian unravels the knots and helps me find the key threads of my own story. He grounds my thinking, and helps me structure my progression. He makes my relationship mistakes feel manageable rather than a personality disorder. Although I have not found my next partner, I am on a happy and positive path, and Christian's help has been transformative.

I've worked in medical records and people have to have a certain amount of empathy and patience. Everyone has a bad day, I know, but you can't let it show through when working with someone who is in pain.
