I took Jonatan DeYoe's "Rejuvenate Your Retirement" class and it included a paper textbook, two 2-hour classes, and a "lab" where Jonathan and Scott talked with me about my plan and made good suggestions. When I first contacted DeYoe Wealth Management earlier this year, I had accumulated a decent amount of money in the bank and it was just sitting in a savings account earning practically nothing. I am a business owner myself . Like all business owners, we work 12 hour days to finance our lives. That means we are in business to make money. When I first met Jonathan five years ago, I realized that he was radically different from the brokers and money managers I had worked with in the past. My father had used two brokers, and I had continued to work with them. They charge a fee for each trade, which means that their incentive is to make trades, not protect and grow my portfolio. By contrast, DeYoe Wealth Management charges a small percentage of the portfolio as an annual fee. If they make me money, they make more money. I like this. Jonathan and his team are extremely knowledgeable and professional. I call what they do "holistic money managing". They started by talking to me about what I wanted, my goals, my needs, my preferences for instance not to support cigarette manufacturers. Then they backed into how to balance my portfolio. ok, honestly, i'm just a computer geek. I do the internet. I make the internet go. I don't care about money as long as i have enough to afford video games and mt. dew. and that is precisely why i have the entirety of my investment portfolio with DeYoe wealth. I have been in the office exactly two times. both times were quite enjoyable experiences. the office staff is fun, joking around, and overall a great group to hang out with. but when it comes to your money, they're all seriousness and business like. it's reassuring to know they can have fun, but they're not going to play around with my retirement. and, they set me up with a web portal to access my account to see how much money i'm making. and it's exceedingly satisfying to log in and see positive growth month after month. especially considering what a rollercoaster any sort of financial market is these days. most people like rollercoasters, me, not so much. not that kind of rollercoaster. anyway, bottom line...
