Thao is amazing! I came in on a Saturday morning, there were already 4 people waiting in front of me. He was working on one car, but immediately acknowledged my presence and asked me to take a seat. Each car only took him 10 min, I was in and out of there in less than an hour. While I was waiting, there were so many calls coming in. He was able to pick up most of the calls while doing the smog test on the cars. Suddenly a couple showed up and the lady rudely interrupted him, claiming her husband called a few minutes ago and "you said we could leave the car here and pick it up later". Thao patiently explained it's a first come, first serve basis and that he cannot agree to them leaving the car with him as there is no space to park in the plaza, also due to the liability issues. The lady kept pushing it and tried to cut in line by saying "but you said over the phone..." Thao was very patient and professional. He continued to work on the cars and told her to fill out the paperwork so when it's her turn, he'll have the information to perform the smog check even if they're not present. One guy thought Thao allowed her to cut the line and questioned him. He nicely explained he knows what other customers would think but he will not allow that to happen, then continues to do his job. He was really fast and took no longer than 15 min each car, yet he still sincerely apologized to every customer for the wait. Very professional, I would definitely come back to Thao! read more

The person there was really helpful. I went there before my out of state vehicle registration. He made sure to verify the catalytic convertor for me and offered a free retest if my catalytic convertor from Dallas does not meet the CA emission standards. Was out of there is 15 minutes with a pass certificate. A copy of certificate was also sent to DMV within 24 hours. read more

This smog station is at the end of the complex. The front stations do not belong to Milpitas Smog Test Only. The owner of Milpitas Smog Test Only tries to put the sign right in the front of his station with 1638 but I can see why some customers mistaken the Precision Tune Up (1630) as the smog center since Precision Tune Up also does smog test. Make sure you go to the end of the complex to reach Milpitas Smog Test Only. The owner is extremely friendly and efficient. The smog test only took 15-20 minutes and since we had the coupon, we did not pay the full price. We are very happy with this establishment and the service we received. We will be using this establishment for our future smog tests need. read more

Decided to come here on a Friday a bit before noon after another place I initially wanted to go to was closed for lunch. There was one car ahead of me, but the wait was not long. It's a one man show, but he's efficient. There's a couple of waiting chairs. Smog test was really quick. I got to fill out my info on a carbon copy receipt form while I waited for the test to complete, paid by credit card, and was on my way. It took a day for the info to process to DMV. Definitely would bring my car back the next time it needs a smog test. read more

The guy who works here is very friendly. I was looking for a smog check station at 4pm on a Sunday and let me tell you, that's the worst time to find an open one. This place normally closes at 4pm on Sunday but he said he would wait for me. He also told me that since I had replaced my battery recently that it would automatically fail the smog check unless I drove it for 100 miles at least. Most places would perform the smog test, let you fail, charge you, and ask you to come back. Next time I need a smog check, I'll be coming back here! read more

You can't get better than this. This guy saved me major $. I got a car with an after market cat converter that has been withdrawal from the CA compliant list. Instead of replacing the cat converter, he told me to look for the receipt because the withdrawal date is in 2013. I found my receipt and my purchase date was 2012, a year before the withdrawal date, so my cat converter is still good. read more
