When I saw Dr. Lowe a few months ago to see if he could help with my limp (I felt one leg was…read moreshorter than the other), he spent a whole hour with me in assessing what was going on. In the end, he sent me to a hip surgeon, namely the one who had replaced his own two hips just a few months earlier. I knew I had severe arthritis but until that point was in denial about the need for a new hip. The hip surgeon took a detailed x-ray which showed I was at 'end-stage arthritis' (quoting the surgeon). Given Dr. Lowe had used this surgeon and had shared his own recovery video with me, I agreed to have my hip replaced. I am now 2 months post-surgery and could not be happier. It took honesty, humility, and empathy on Dr. Lowe's part to send me on to a hip surgeon. Just now I made a new appointment with Dr. Lowe since my legs are now a bit uneven and my butt crack is tilted slightly to one side. In reading what the internet has to say, this is quite common after a hip replacement, and the best 'fix' is to have some orthotics which even out the leg length. Thank goodness I know just the doctor who can help with that! Dr. Lowe deserves 10 stars.

After more than a few minutes of touching my feet she finally donned gloves. Whatever she sloughed off just fell to the floor. I was DISGUSTED but listened patiently. I should report this to St Luke's. I'm rarely disgusted, but this did it for me. I will find someone else.

Dr. Owen is a kind person but not sure what was actually provided for a service on my visit. I…read morehave visited other podiatrist and they all push custom inserts without and progress plan. It is hard to understand how an "injury/pain" that was identified and diagnosed (I know exactly when it happened - bruised heel) can't be addressed through rehabilitation, rest or other diagnoses. When I questioned this the only response I heard was "I need to do a better job of explaining it to you". You're right, makes no sense. She also accused me of becoming "angry". Sure, I am confrontational as I am very skeptical of the time and money invested and how more needs to be paid without any guarantees. I agreed to pay the $425 for custom inserts and can't get "measured" for three weeks out? This is after the receptionist could not find my file as she did not have my phone number or proper spelling to my last name to identify me. Once I heard that I had to rethink - horrible customer service Birds of a feather flock together... Smarten up folks, do better.
