I had an excellent experience with Millers Inc. They came out and assessed the insulation in my attic. The house was built in the 1960s and did have additional insulation blown in before I bought it 1989, but it was very inadequate by today's standards. Michel Oyler provided excellent data on the condition of my insulation and recommended some upgrade options. A week later, the work was completed to my full satisfaction. I contracted Miller's to add insulation to my attic in my house. The house has a pitched roof with attic access so that part was easy. My house had drafts and cold areas and I thought it was needing additional attic insulation. MIllers inspected my attic and confirmed that the insulation was compromised in several and a repair and upgrade would help the insulation performance. MIllers gave me a good quote, the showed up when they said and did a great job. Over the last year the heating bills are lower, the cold areas and drafts are reduced and the house is more comfortable. Millers Insulation is a rare business now. Paul arrived on time, went around our home with a handheld FLIR (Forward Looking Infrared Radar), took a video in our attic, explained why our monthly heating/cooling bills were so high and how they would do. The crew showed up on the day and time they said they would (something rare compared to other companies we called). They went to work and their supervisor came to our house about halfway through the job. They completed the work when they said they would, cleaned up and left. The results have been lower gas bills since the installation. The house is more comfortable. This is our retirement home and we'll eventually see a payback on the installation . For 22 years I endured both winter's cold and heating bills and summer heat and suffocating nights under a shallow attic. I thought that this was my sad fate living in my beloved adopted state. But enough was enough! I checked with Angie's List to find insulation suppliers and found Millers. Their representative showed up on time; was a kindly person; took videos of my attic to show that there was little or no insulation to be found (I had been told when I bought the house that it was insulated); recommended different levels of insulation; pointed out ways to keep the costs down and available financing options. The insulation team showed up on time and filled up all the attic spaces with the maximum recommended depth. Since then the comfort level of my home has increased exponentially. Never have I been so glad to make a monthly payment! During this terrible heat spell I have worked and slept in comfort for the first time since moving to New Mexico. No longer am I losing heat from house to attic in the winter or having heat transfer from the attic to the house in the summer. I have gone out of my way to recommend Millers to friends, neighbors and colleagues. Had Millers add insulation to our attic. Also did an air seal and applied a product called Heat Bloc to help keep the heat out. What a difference this has made in our home. Miller insulation tried to get my credit card numbers before the job even started. I never heard of a contractor wanting money up front before they start the job. It was only about an $800 job. I believe it was very unprofessional for them to get paid upfront. read more

Paul came out to give us an estimate on our (poorly insulated) home. He gave us different options, from things we could take care of ourselves, to what MIller could do in different phases / parts of our home. He answered all of our (many) questions and although he was busy and was getting phone calls, stuck around until we had all of the information we needed. He also told us about current government rebates, as well as rebates through our gas company. Really helpful! Hope to have them out to actually do the work sometime next year! read more
