Rodney York mis diagnosed my huskies cancer on many occasions and caused her cancer to spread which…read morekilled her. I took Lanie to York because of a skin growth. He kept saying that it was a common skin tumor and no cause for concern. The growth got bigger and he said that it was still a common skin growth and that he didn't need to biopsy it. He partially removed the tumor making it flush with her skin. A month after he did this she became really ill and couldn't walk. He then said she had arthritis. I took Lanie to see him at least 6 times over the course of 2 months and he couldn't find anything. He said that he would consult with KU Medical and call me. He never called me and he never returned any of my calls. I must have called him at least 10 times. I took her for a second opinion and within 5 minutes the other vet found another tumor and diagnosed her with cancer. I don't want any other dog to suffer the way Lanie did and I don't want anyone else to go through the pain and guilt that I go through every day because I trusted "Dr" York. Everyday I regret not getting a 2nd opinion sooner and I wonder If I had if my baby girl would still be here. I reported him to the KS Board of Veterinarians and he was found to be at fault.

When I picked him up the dry towel on top of the pet carrier was nowhere to be found, however, inside his pet carrier he was laying on a soaked and wet towel and he look like he had been hit by a train. Not only was the towel cold and wet and he was looking worse than he did when he came in, but the pet carrier was also full of cat shit and spilled cat food. That place is fucking disgustingly dirty, the old lady that works behind the desk is rude, and I cannot believe they gave me my pet to me in that condition. I had to take him to another vet and pray to God he makes it. this place should be shut down. 100% unacceptable, inhumane, cruel, and disgusting. That is what that place is. I will be reporting them to the state

I had previously mentioned a tumor/growth on her torso on at least 3 occasions to him over the course of a year or so, each time he dismissed it as being a fatty tumor & stated a biopsy wasn't necessary . eventually the tumor York had dismissed swelled to 10 more than it's size, at which point he still didn't recommend a biopsy . It was bothering her, he removed the tumor. A few months after this surgery lanies leg swelled drastically & she couldn't walk. I took her to Rodney York on on at least separate occasions regarding swelling in her right front leg. Once he had her all day. He kept saying that her issue was arthritis. Still thinking it was arthritis he did an xray, he did & had promised to consult with another vet & let me know what he found out. He didn't call as he promised nor did he bother to return any of the voicemail messages nor the messages I left with the secretary. I got a second opinion & within 5 minutes the new vet found a large tumor that he kept mis diagnosing. We come to find out the tumor was cancerous & shouldn't have been operated on as mast cells tend to spread.
