This was a horrible experience! The staff argued in front of patients, the nurse practioner while nice, seemed to know very little and it felt like I Was educating her more than the other way around. The worst part was when I called to ask for my blood work results, the front desk manager told me I had to make another appointment to receive them. Do NOT believe this! They are required by law to provide any records including blood work upon request. She argued with me until I finally hung up after being on hold for 30 minutes and I ended up finding my bloodwork results on my patient portal. Not once was I told I could find it there. I don't know if they're poorly trained or just being argumentative but I'll NEVER go back and strongly suggest others heed the other poor reviews and look elsewhere for their health care. read more

Stuck in a hot room for almost an hour until I came out to complain while my NP was chatting up a coworker, then when she finally got there with an attitude and I dared asked a question about a medication and she completely lost it and told me that She was uncomfortable and my appointment was over before it even began. No one answers the phone and when they do, they just transfer you back to the main line. Absolutely no one wants to help patients. After I went for bloodwork, my doctor wanted to talk about the results. Because this was from my annual physical, it's supposed to be covered under my insurance. I had a 5 minute phone conversation with the doctor that amounted to "we'll redo your bloodwork in 3 months" and for that nugget of brilliance, I was charged a $40 copay. The billing team said the reason for the copay was because it was for a new diagnosis. Except I haven't been diagnosed with anything. But this type of shoddy care is common with large medical groups, so shame on me for even going to them. read more

I love the physician group from Port Charlotte, specifically Mylissa Persons, but the billing has been horrible. Every year when I have my physical I get billed when it should be zero. Then this affects my blood work through Quest because the billing department is not billing correctly. I sure hope this will not be a yearly issue going forward. read more

my kids had a scheduled appointment a month in advance. The second day of school is what I was scheduled for my kids appointment. I received a call 7:30 stating that the doctor is not in and won't be in today. I just find very unprofessional. they was apologetic to me just seem as if they didn't care. I just had the strangest interaction with this office two days in a row. I heavily researched what PCP I wanted. On their website and on my insurance page it says that Dr. Nair is taking new patients in Sarasota. I called yesterday and the woman who answered the phone at scheduling said "YES SHE IS ACCEPTING NEW PATIENTS". I then spent 15 minutes on the phone with this lady (who was clearly working at home with her kids screaming in the background...no shame to remote work but come on) giving all of my information, only to be told that she would forward the information to the office and they would call to schedule. As a business practice, this is annoying b/c I'm ready to schedule NOW, not when you decide is convenient for me, but whatever, I'll go with it. Just now I get a phone call from someone who sounded like she was either stoned out of her mind or straight up on crack, telling me that Dr. Nair is not accepting new patients. I told her that their website says she is, and she lazily responded, "Yeahhhhh we gotta get that changed ha ha" Are. You. Kidding. Me?!?! Millennium is dangerous because their business model includes routinely having non-medical people making medical decisions. This registered nurse just counseled friends to find another physician. I was a patient there myself years ago and had a very good physician, but left because of this dangerous business model. Yesterday, a friend had lab work and had critically low results . Not only did Millennium not have a licensed person review this as is Medical standard, but they didn't even return an urgent call from a patient. A few weeks ago, this same lab result got the patient admitted into intensive care unit. Last night, they didn't even bother calling because the non-medical person did not understand the critical need for immediate intervention. This same​ patient should have a pet scan after some other suspicious imaging, but that was never related to the patient and it is now causing a very dangerous delay in care . Front office staff in Sun City Center office is unprofessional. They need supervision. They lack skills, make serious medical mistakes and will lie, talk in circles, pretend to be in meetings all day just to not be accountable for what they did. They changed my Rx script for a medication I take, when I called they did not want to hear about it even though I have called 5 times about it and 5 times they told me they will fix it. Now here I am without the medication that is not supposed to be stopped. This ignorant mistake has left me without the medication and has been affecting my health since June 2025, when I transferred from a previous PCP to this goofy medical office. Patient safety is not a priority is it Sharmane? If you are interested in quality health care avoid Millenium Physican Group at all cost. They are corporate raiders who buy up private practices and then provide the least amount of care for the most amount of money. I went to the St. Augustine practice after another corporate raider, Island Doctors bought the practice of my family doctor of 30 years. My current doctor was excellent and known to me personally. Last Friday I get a call from Millenium Group that they are dropping me as a patient because I have Florida Blue insurance, and they don't make enough money from the payments. This was one week before my six month scheduled appointment. I have Type 2 Diabetes and Heart Disease. They gave no warning and refused to give me an exit appointment even though I offered to pay everything out of pocked. So here I am without a primary care physician and with serious health issues. I recently had to change physicIan's because my Sarasota doctor moved out of state. I found a new doctor in Englewood which was closer to my home. However, the Englewood office is completely dysfunctional and the staff utterly rude. I've made more than one visit (which was scheduled and confirmed) only to be told that they couldn't see me because of a mistake THEY made or kept me waiting for more than an hour, without so much as an apology. I guess when you greet every patient who walks in with "Thank you for your patience ", that should be a clue as to how professional and efficient the place is. read more

I was very disappointed with Dr Jacobs the Dr on call today 12/24/24. I called at 8:50 am regarding a prescription I needed that I forgot to mention at an appointment the day before. The medication is in my chart and should not have been an issue. I called back at approximately 12:30 pm and the prescription was not yet called in. I called back at 3:00 and still no one at reviewed the request. I let them know the pharmacy was closing at 5:00 PM due to the Xmas holiday and that I needed it asap. My pharmacy even called them to try to help with no luck. I called back at 4:30 and was extremely upset where the person I spoke to said she spoke directly with Dr. Jacobs who said he was on his way home and would call it in before 5:00. My husband went to Walgreens but the Dr never called it in. I called again and they tried him back. No luck. The pharmacy closed. I was very upset and let them know I planned to complain. They called me back and said he would not be able to call it in now until 6:00, and if I needed the prescription I should go to the ER. I told the person I was not upset at her, but she could tell Dr Jacobs to kiss my a$!. How can a doctor act this way leaving patients out without the medication they need. The only other pharmacy, CVS, was closing at 6:00. That I'm aware of. read more

I have been with millennium for four years since moving to this area. For the first 2.5 years it was fine. Then I became pretty sick. After going to the hospital for a stroke and a heart attack the looked into why I could not breath. The P.A. said oh its anxiety. Still its ok they were at least we thought trying. 6 months later another heart attack, Bummer now I needed pace Maker. OK did it. Stlll having problems so back to the heart guy he is doing tests racking up huge bills. After double billing me for checking pace maker and additional visits we get a bill that was double billed for pace maker read. Call the billing department and they said take it up with the Heart Doctor. Since we had a appointment in a week we waited. The day before that appointment I get a call that my doctor left and oh by the way so did his p.a.. They would not tell me who was the replacement was for his privacy. Found another cardiologist in Sarasota and he took me right in. His response yes they missed diagnosed you. The insurance company already started a case on the prior Dr. and said they miss billed you also. You can not talk to anyone in there billing. Now today I get a call from a bill collector who says they will take me to court for the 26.00. The whole Millennium circus is a scam. I await there papers to get me in front of a judge. I guess I will need a high power attorney to represent me. After the new Dr fixes my blockage and I can function I WILL get representation to help me. I have NEVER suit anyone and pay my bills as supposed to. But the errors and abandonment that just happened will not go unchecked. Just have to wait to get fixed . I signed up as a new patient with them for a particular doctor which I researched, they took all my information and created a portal for me. After calling again to correct errors I was able to log in and schedule an appointment. They called me the next day to tell me that the doctor could not see me at that time. When I finally spoke to someone at the office they told me that the doctor I choose is not accepting new patients. The person was extremely rude and refused to discuss this with me. Overall, their automated attendant is terrible, their portal is OK and my interaction with their staff was extremely disappointing. This is not a company I will deal with in the future. read more

Before my visit, I called the doctor's office to ask about roughly how much I need to pay for one visit with my insurance and they said I don't need to pay. After my visit, the company sent me a bill stating that I need to pay $150. I called many times and finally connected with their billing department (terrible costumer service), and they said that (with a very bad attitude) I should have figured out my own insurance instead of asking their office for information. In the doctor's office, they asked me a series of strange questions such as if I feel depressed or if I want to kill myself. I felt weird but tried to be nice and patient and answered all those questions. On the bill they charged me for "emotional assessment". The lack of information and the attitude during the whole communication is terrible, and I do not recommend this place at all. read more

I am a retired MD family practice physician. I recently moved here and established with the Millennium Physician Group. Before my first visit I was given a list of laboratory tests to have done before my first visit, which I did. Shortly after, I started receiving bills for all of these tests, stating that my insurance would not cover any of those tests. I have Medicare and third party insurance which will definitely pay for all of those tests given a proper diagnosis. The diagnosis used for all of these tests was "screening." Medical does not cover any tests under a diagnosis of "screening." Third party insurance does not cover anything that Medicare does not cover. I have been dealing with the Millennium Physician Group medical office and their billing department for several months now. I am regularly told that this issue has been taken care of. I am now in collections from the laboratory for nonpayment! That lab bill was nearly $1000. My opinion of the Millennium Physician Group is that they are incompetent from start to finish. I would not recommend the Millennium Group to anyone looking for medical care. read more

I would give them a zero except I like the NP I deal with. However, trying to get in touch with the office and get a call back is impossible. This has been going on for over 3 years. I would switch but we are moving. They never answer the phone, they never return calls, and, I bet they just delete the calls that might take them away from checking their phone, chatting with coworkers, having breaks, or just ignoring any interaction with a patient.
