I was a bit baffled when it popped up in my internet search, but it does deliver on the premise: this is an aesthetically interesting and unique water feature that is worth looking at. The area connects with some local trails and has some picnic facilities. A gravel road and parking lot immediately adjoin the falls. The water was not overly clean, and there were bugs aplenty, so be prepared.

Very cheap mattress like laying on springs, also someone put just a piece of plywood down the center of the bed, so you feel like you are rolling off. You're able to park on the side while you unload your kayak or unload right into the water if you have a boat. During the holiday week - there were barely alot of people there which is awesome. My friend and I just wanted some where to float and chat. She repeated like 15 times while we were on the lake.... "I really like this spot". Bathroom were clean and didn't smell any odor - definitely a plus in my book. Please note - recreation passport is required; it's a honor system if you don't have one. We quite enjoyed the trail near the pond, which also offers a story walk, in addition to being able to peer at all of the plants and critters near the pond. A very nice spot!

Bordered on the east by the Tittabawassee River, and on the south by the Chippewa River, this multi-featured 35-acre park is home to paved biking and walking paths; picnics; field sports; a childrens' playground; the Trilogy Skatepark; and a dog park at the far end. The park is visible from the highway bridge, but not conventionally accessible. You have to travel north of the park and take a left to loop back around underneath the bridge. Plenty of free parking is available. The Farmer's Market runs on Wednesday and Saturday mornings May through October. Of course, the salient feature is the wooden foot bridge that spans the confluence of the Chippewa and Tittabawassee Rivers, also known as "The Tridge". The dog park is fenced-in, and has a combination of wooded and open areas where dogs can run free. Various agility courses are provided to challenge your pet and there are a couple of sections so you can choose who your dog mingles with. Waste bags are provided free of charge for use, as are trash receptacles. The park is open from 8 a.m. until dusk. There are two visible pavilions with BBQ's nearby. They're the small BBQ's that are cemented into the ground and use charcoal for fuel. There are picnic tables in the pavilion and Port-o-Potty's a short distance away. Like most public parks, you are free to use it via squatting, but if you plan on an event, you should register with the city and get a permit to ensure you have rights to the facility. The Trilogy Skate Park is a 15,000 sq ft of concrete fun for in-line skaters, skate-boarders, and bikes. Hills and ramps of varying degrees, rails, and curved slopes help you hone your skills or perfect that trick. No equipment or rentals are available so you'll have to bring our own. The facilities at Chippewassee Park are unsupervised by municipal staff, but are patrolled by Police. I would like to thank the Officer that was nice enough to take the time and chat with me and provide me with all this info for my review (sorry, I didn't get your name! But you know who you are...) I didn't post this review sooner as I was unable to find the place when trying to check in because the park was not named, and Trilogy didn't come up in my search (that and the fact that I'm behind on my reviews... but I do have my notes!). These people checking me in and telling me safety information are incredibly young! Will they be able to save me and my family if our kayaks flip over and we fall into the lake? Wow! What a beautiful day! But I wonder how often people fall into the lake. I also wonder how deep the lake is. I also wonder if it's possible to be trapped underwater if your kayak flips over. In the end, I decided to kick it on the sandy beach and wave at my family as they happily paddled on the lake. They had a great time kayaking. I had a great time not kayaking. Like Hot Chocolate says: Everyone's a winner, baby. Kayaks are either single-person or double, and we used one of each. There are very few instructions given, which was a little alarming to me. (You mean you just assume we know what we're doing?!) But fortunately, my family knew what they were doing, so they didn't need much instruction to get themselves out on the water. As you paddle around the lake, you pass the Millennium Park beach and splash pad, plus little islands here and there. There is about four miles of shoreline to explore. I was told that the lake was nice and calm, and that it was a pleasant time on the water. We rented kayaks, but Millennium Park Boat Rentals also offers canoes, paddle boats and stand-up paddle boards to rent. Keep in mind that rentals are seasonal -- this place is only open from Memorial Day-ish to Labor Day-ish.
