We've recently moved my Grandmother and are desperately trying to get her healthy again. My Grandmother did not get needed medication for 3 weeks, it ended up being stopped suddenly which made her anxiety and dementia exasperated. When trying to talk to any staff, NO ONE EVER TAKES RESPONSIBILITY. It's always someone else's fault, that no longer works there. No apologies, no accountability. We were also told that when my Grandmothers LIFE SAVINGS had been exhausted she would be able to continue staying at Pacifica on Medicaid. Concerned because there had been SO many things that changed or were not true, we made an appointment to discuss this and other issues. We were immediately told NO she couldn't stay and again, It was the old employees fault for telling us that. It was always filthy, they are always short staffed and the urine smell is awful. When we moved my Grandmother out it became even more obvious how poorly she was cared for with the amount of dirt everywhere. They are building MORE houses and I'm wondering how they will be able to handle more residents? If you're lured in with the new construction, be sure you go over every single detail, because you can not take anyone's word. And if you have a loved one move in, be sure to be there every single day, be there for every doctor appointment, make sure you are aware of every medication. Basically, micromanage every little detail because you can not trust them to truly take care of your person.

These people have these fancy titles like Kirk the executive director and Vonnie is another director, then Steven apparently regional director down in the Billing office in San Diego. Not even the courtesy of one call back I've been calling these people for weeks. I've been nicely asking them to go over things with me and Kirk was very rude to my dad. He had just lost his wife and all they care about is money this place disgusts me. They're trying to charge us to renovate a room after we left it better than we got it. It was cleaned and the items were removed. These people only care about money. Be careful before you put your loved one here they'll act nice to your face, but as soon as the money stops, they could give a crap about you or your family! So to all you people over there with the fancy titles, you don't deserve them. You don't have the courtesy to call a person back asking for you to explain why you're charging for care and room and board the month after the person has passed away. This is a violation of CMS and Medicare. All you to say is refer to some paperwork, but you can't tell me which paperwork and where it is, you guys are a joke. I've been patient. I've been calling for weeks leaving messages. No one can call me back. You guys should be ashamed of yourselves. I'd like to thank Heidi, who has been able to help in her capacity and Jennifer the nurse at the location but other than that once the titles get higher, you people are despicable treating an older man who had just lost his wife like he's stupid and shove him out the door with an excuse of go read your paperwork. not acceptable! Watch out for Kirk. He cannot keep up with his lies. He says one thing to somebody, and then says something to somebody else he contradicted himself to me in the same day. We did read the paperwork and this phony language that you said is in there it's not there. I'm asking you to show me where this is why you're keeping over half my dad's money with some phony scheme of you're allowed to charge him for it. They just finished an exterior remodel and are currently refinishing the interior common areas. The staff was friendly and very helpful. After touring numerous facilities, this one was hands down the best. She lived on the independent living side. My daughter would occasionally stay with her in her apartment. It was the best situation next to having her own home. To the staff thank you for the care you provided while she was there.

I have visited many places in our search for a top caliber Assisted Living Fac. for my parents. We found that Bristol Heights had everything we needed and wanted in a facility. 1. A superior administrator who has passion about running a great facility. Kim Johnson cares about the residents and she does not use the high pressure sales pitches and tactics that other administrators and facilities use. We appreciated her honesty about what my mother and father truly need. Kim exceeded our expectations on what we want from an administrator. 2. We were there why the cook was preparing the lunch from scratch. It looked and smelled like delicious homemade food. 3. The place was very clean (smelled clean too) and the rooms and facilities were cheery. The views from the rooms were beautiful too. My dad is always cold and the facility was warm like he likes it. They have fire sprinklers through out. 4. They have lots of activities there at the facility and in the community. My dad decided that he wants to live in California because of the colder winters in Idaho, and because of his age the cold weather will not work for him. Kim (being the professional that she is) told my dad that he gets to decide where he lives. My dad was getting pressure from my siblings to move to Coeur d'Alene. Kim pointed several facts for my dad to consider. Kim represents Bristol Heights extremely well and they are fortunate to have her.

We knew his health was declining, with Covid and after major Dementia set in about 2 years later realized we couldn't give Dad the specialized and excellent care he deserved. I was concerned when there was a change in ownership but have been blessed with a staff that is loving, caring and I am so happy that he is receiving the care he needs. They are still changing to make everything even better. Dad loves the food and all the staff and they love him !!!! Can't ask for more ! Their care was wonderful and she was very happy there. Orchard Ridge is a non-profit supported by 17 churches in the Coeur d'Alene area. They care for their residents like they are family. The staff is friendly caring and the facility is clean. We looked at every facility in Coeur d'Alene before we selected Orchard Ridge for my mother's care.

Of significant concern are our observation that medication management (e.g., administering daily prescriptions, inventory and control of medications) is inadequate. For example, staff often deliver medication and a glass of water to her room without staying to ensure she actually takes each medication of which has occasionally resulted in family members finding pills in her bed sheets or on the floor. There are simply too many occurrences of concern to list here. Otherwise, a very nice community.

I can go on about the special people, but these are a few names that I have to bring up because they're very special. Tammy also late late at night comes in to make sure that I'm OK and just seeing her and talking to her is a relief in the middle of the night and it's the people that basically spend a few minutes talking to you that are really special because they really care. Physical Therapy is another part of the excellence with guys like Mike taking care of me making sure that I exercise every day so when I get out of here, I can walk and move around like a normal person. My mother had many needs and was sometimes difficult, but they always provided her great care with compassion. They were very supportive and compassionate during her passing and continue to take excellent care of my father. I highly recommend them for anyone looking for a kind and caring place for themselves or a family member.
