The first call they asked me to wait a minute, and soon the line went dead. The second call went to voicemail, but just after the tone the lady answered again. And the fact that they dont have a fairly common Indian ingredient doesnt endorse them as far as selection goes.

Took a chance on this based on reviews of another culinary comment site. Glad we did as this place didn't disappoint. It even made me finally sign up on Yelp AND set up the restaurant on here. Had a combo set for 3 with a butter chicken, veggie curry and beef curry. All were fantastic particularly the beef. They let us sub in veggie pakoras over the samosas. The pakoras with spicy ketchup were equally as awesome. Everything tasted genuinely homemade. It's not the classiest looking spot but who cares with food so good. Also saw on their front counter a flyer for a lunchbox special which I'll be taking advantage of working nearby. Definitely hope this little gem gets support and stays going.

The dish came with six small pieces of chicken (totally maybe half a chicken breast). The sauce was void of any pieces of cashews. It was medium, but there was no flavor development. The chicken itself tasted like it had been boiled, then tossed into the sauce. It was cooked, but just tasted bland. All in all, a pass for me.

Overall I liked how most things tasted and how fast the service was. I also thought the inside was nicely decorated. Here's what I ordered: 1. Wonton Soup (small): This dish came with 6 pieces of wonton and broccoli in chicken broth. I thought the broth was way too salty and the wonton fillings were just ok. 2. Beef Chow Fun: I really enjoyed this dish because the flavours were on point and it wasn't salty. I would order this again. 3. Ma Po Tofu: The visual presentation of this dish was quite different from the picture in the menu. I thought the flavours were definitely toned down from the traditional ones I'm used to having. However, I still enjoyed it on top of my white rice and would recommend it.

The portions are about right for the style of food. I'm not sure if it was because of the amount of patrons vs. staff, but service was lacking. The waitress was friendly and kind, so that was a positive. After that it falls short starting with waiting quite a long time for them to notice our glasses were empty. We didn't get side plates when we ordered appetizers. The chilli bowls were crusted with black stuff, not sure how often the spoons/containers are changed out. I also didn't see them wipe down the spoons when they wiped down the tables. When you're done eating, but still have food you'd like to take home... they charge $1.50 for a to go container. So if you want to take home what you paid for, you have to pay more. So ... if you do go.... Bring your own take home container. We most likely won't be going back.
