Even today, the Rose is still very popular and we are almost every weekend there. After all, it is located in the inner city and it can be danced in her great, too. There are often DJs and eventy, making it even much more attractive. Another positive thing about the Rose is that the prices aren't that overrated than in some other locations or bars here in Jena.

Hours are typically from 9pm till 6am. You can usually count on fun music and a nice scene in a cool-looking space. When I visited last they were doing and 80's pop & alternative party, which was a mix of the new wave hits an American would expect mixed with more obscure (to me) German selections. The only drawback (and thus a star docked) is that the place really needs better AC - it can get crazy hot and stuffy once the dancing gets going!

Music is really hit-and-miss. Sometimes the back room closes early, and sometimes the entire club closes early, depending on how many people are there. Depending on the number of people and the time of year, it can get really hot. One time I actually went home to change clothes! It's an okay place to go if you're bored or looking to do something last minute, but I wouldn't go out of my way to plan to go here unless I wasn't able to get a ride or bus it to Berlin.
