I'd give zero stars if I could. I sent Mr. Minot a $3,500 retainer to fight to invalidate a will that my dying mother signed by a niece who hadn't seen her in 15 years leaving her everything. I spent years helping my mother financially and was her only family. I took care of her for a month while she died of liver cancer. He never took my calls, I constantly tried and tried and never got through. Even unanswered emails. We never went to court, he never contacted my witnesses who stated my mother was not of sound mind and signed the will 2 days before her death. My mothers best friend called Mr. Minot to get him moving at one point over the 8 months and he never returned her call. She saw my mother just after signing the will and my mother asked her "Am I Dead?". A nurse that told me my mother was irrational and a friend stating my niece brain washed my mother against me. When I first talked to Mr. Minot about my case he assured me it would be a simple invalidation of the will. Well, that was a complete lie. I feel so duped by Mr. Minot and his lack of understanding and his extremely rude bedside manor on calls actually telling me to be quiet and let him talk constantly!! He also never remembers anything that I have told him or anything I sent. Proof #1 is not knowing how much I gave him as a retainer. I had to go through months of transactions on my banks website to find the paid retainer and they can't find it. Still doing the work for him! SMH (shaking my head)! I retained Mr. Minot on March 23rd. We spoke 1 time on the phone to discuss this case. I then sent him a $5000 retainer same day. Next day, he called for about 15 mins for additional information. And from that moment on, I have not heard anything g from him. After many calls, emails, messages. I finally received a document on APRIL 13th. about 3 weeks later. I did not understand this do and again called, emailed, left messages. Not a word from him. Finally in May, I called his office to terminate my agreement. Iy has been 6 weeks of nothing. I have wasted 6 weeks of time in order to divide an estate of a diseases man. 6 weeks that the bills on the estate are building up. And 6 weeks of absolutely no contact from Mr. Minot. Once he finally decided to do "accounting' for my case, he calculated he did about $2500 worth of work? I mean 6 weeks of absolutely no progress how is this possible? I do not recommend this firm for your estate matters. I wanted to have my uncle resting peace amd have his estate divided in a timely manner and here I am more than 6 weeks after and absolutely no progress has been made. This firm , including the front desk, who repeatedly took my messages and did nothing, is not interested in your case. Just your money. How great to make $2500 without doing a thing.
