I was impressed the moment I walked in and loved how all procedures were explained even down to the basic way of cleaning your teeth. Thank you to everyone there for making each visit relaxing and fun at the same time. It's nice to feel so comfortable in what can sometimes be an uncomfortable situation. My 9 year old had a HORRIBLE experience at our previous dentist with a tooth extraction and the one preformed here went so smoothly that my son barley even knew what happened! The doctor comes in and tells me several (4) to be exact are infected in my gums and they want to set up a consultation to go ever a plan and costs. 2nd time I come in, I wait forever and get put in a procedure room and wait over 40 minutes when they finally tell me she is with an emergency appointment. OK. So today, my 3rd appointment and 2nd time trying to see doctor, I sit in a room with 5 others who get taken back. By 2:23pm i go to head desk, when my appointment was 2pm and have confirmed via text. Finally put in a procedure room with extreme pain of 2 of the previously infected teeth (that they did not want to give me antibiotics for until they scheduled a procedure) so "yes" now in extreme pain with swelling and ready to lance it myself and still waiting. I am so beyond stressed that I finally walk out at 2:40pm (40 minutes my 2nd time, when this is coming from my own pocket). Truly dismissive of someone in need and was putting trust in them. Did I slide through cracks....Hell yes...be cautious...this is absolutely worst experience of someone in desperate, painful need that had 2 appointments with complete dismissive reactions. So disgusted.

I had a tooth that was bothering me and needed to be seen. My mother was in Hospice Care in VA and I needed to get to her as soon as I could. I called at 8:00 am on Jan 5 and they were able to work me in that afternoon. I ended up having the tooth pulled because it was so infected and I could not wait to see a root canal specialist. The dentist was very rushed and didn't wait until I was fully numb. He kept telling me that I was feeling pressure not pain when it was pain. I didn't make it to VA before my mother died all because nobody checked the emergency line. They apologized but that really isn't sufficient in my opinion. I was to go for my regular cleaning this week and they called and said they needed to reschedule my appointment. I am a teacher and can only go at 4:00. They could not see me at 4:00 until June 25. Dr. Steve always gives me his undivided attention and full focus- none of that jumping back and forth between multiple patients nonsense that many other dentists do. He just does great work. He explains everything very clearly and anticipates my needs ahead of time. I have complete trust and total confidence in Dr. Steve. Victoria runs the whole place with a direct approach, but she is also a very deeply caring and kind person. She gave me a great deal of comfort at my first visit to City Dental, when I came in with a horrible tooth emergency. She just took really good care of me and remains very dear to my heart. (Victoria and Dr.Steve are a married couple who run the practice together). Meghan is a rockstar receptionist; she's intelligent, informed, highly competent and an absolute riot! She makes me laugh, she eases my anxiety and she always makes sure that I am as comfortable as I can be. I absolutely adore Meghan, as well as I do Ashley. Ashley, assistant supreme, is a genuine sweetie pie with whom I also really enjoy chatting. She has a comforting and quieting influence on me- I feel very calm in her presence, which is pretty huge for me. The whole team has been so very good to me, accommodating my travel schedules and just giving me great dental care. Their prices are more than fair, especially given the high quality of the work and materials. And they're aware that dental work can get prohibitively expensive for the average Jane, but will work with you to find a way to get the care you need. They've got a loyal, lifetime patient in me and a brand new patient in my aunt!
