I am grateful to Michael Miely for adding so many wonderful peonies to my garden. Michael is a knowledgeable and discerning grower, with a large but well honed selection of peonies, many of which are not offered in the US. Don't be fooled by his numbered cultivars, each one of the eight that I grow is worthy of consideration for the perennial border. Loge, Mime and Gotterdammerung are all fresh, improvements to the realm of Lactifloras. Drolla, Zemina, Frazana and Rienzi are uniquely flowered and are valued for their earliness and stem strength, fine for cutting and excellent as landscape specimens. Expect descendants of Drolla to be seen in the future as it begins to play an increasing role in the programs of a few prominent US hybridists. read more
