The space is massive and laid out around a dramatic open atrium, so as you move through the three floors you can look down and take it all in from above. It feels more like a luxury gallery than a retail store, in the best way. What really surprised me was the café inside, which somehow makes the whole experience feel even more elevated and relaxed at the same time. You can browse, wander, pause, and just soak it in instead of feeling rushed. The service is polished and attentive without being intimidating, and the architecture alone is worth the visit. Even if you're not buying anything, this flagship is absolutely a must-see in Milan.

Everything is just lovely and it's easy to tell that it is all very well crafted and detailed, they take pride in their work. Speaking with shop owner I asked him if he made the bags and he said yes and showed me the workshop. Not only does he make all the hand bags, but the workshop is right behind the shop, so cute. I don't see that at home in NYC. He was very friendly, very helpful and a pleasure to meet. I only wish I bought more.

I got to go into the store in Milan which I had been dreaming about for years! The clerks were laughing after I came in and dropped to my knees in happiness. They were shocked at this behavior, but I explained to them how obsessed I am with Fornasetti. I purchased 4 new "Julia" plates for my collection which I have scattered about in my homes. They shipped them home for me so I didn't have to deal with lugging them around and possibly breaking them on the trip home. It was fabulous that we were the only ones in the store at that time so we got special attention from the salesgirls who spoke excellent English, which is smart, since a lot of tourists must come in.

As my wife talked with the buyer, signor Baracchi sat down and, uninvited, went to flip through a stack of paintings. Subsequent attempts to receive at least partial compensation were fruitless.

The cheapest thing I could find during these Italian July sales was literally €30 and bad quality. The higher-quality things are really expensive, like ridiculously expensive. They organized by color, not by style or size. Quite inconvenient. If I had more money, I would suppose I would like this better, as the higher-quality things cost more money. You might as will just go to a vintage kilo store and find things that look similar for less money
