I looked at the fantastic photos on her website and agreed. She was easy to get in contact with. We had a phone conference for about an hour the month before to nail down exactly what my husband and I wanted, and met with her briefly the day before the ceremony to iron out the details. Jessica was fabulous. She was professional and made us (such awkward people!) comfortable. Each of our 10 wedding guests mentioned to me how much they liked her and what a great job she was doing. The pictures are unbelievable. She was ready to go at 2AM for the sunrise and we followed up the next day with a trash the dress shoot. Her choice in locations was flawless. We showed a 5 minute youtube video she put together of photos at our reception back home and our guests were floored. I first booked a photo shoot with him 2 years ago thanks to a recommendation from a friend. I was looking for someone to capture my proposal to my now wife and he was the perfect photographer for the job. From the initial conversation, planning, offering suggestions, helping arrange the surprise and through the photoshoot Matias was fantastic! He was so helpful and supportive going above and beyond to make the proposal work out without a snag. It was a tall order arranging and meeting to hike through the bamboo forest and up waterfalls while pretending to be a complete stranger and hiding in the bushes out of sight secretly capturing the proposal, but Matias absolutely nailed it. She had no idea he was there and he got all the shots that I hoped for. He got some great images in the water session after as well. He was very easy to work with, gave great direction and was so fun. We had such a good time with him laughing and cracking jokes. Having him capture those moments will be treasured for a lifetime and it helped make a great story too! The second session we booked was on the following trip to Maui a year later. We wanted to do another photo shoot with him, but on the beach and in the ocean this time with a sexier theme to the engagement shoot. We had another amazing time with him and got so many great pictures with a completely different theme and look. Working with Matias is EASY. The 3rd session we wanted to get our family together for a photo shoot for some nice family photos on the beach for the first time in many, many years of Maui family vacations. The communication was also excellent--they responded quickly whenever I had questions or concerns. When I received my photos, I wasn't completely happy with all of them. Some of the angles were a little awkward, and I felt several photos needed additional retouching. I reached out to them, and they were very responsive. They happily retouched the photos I requested and even upgraded my photo package, which I really appreciated. Their willingness to make things right showed that they genuinely care about customer satisfaction. While I'd rate the photos themselves around 4 stars, I'd give their customer service 4.5 to 5 stars. Because they listened to my feedback, responded promptly, and worked with me to improve the final product, I would recommend them to anyone looking for a professional and friendly photography experience in Maui.
