I've also experienced firsthand how her program works in the after affects of the program, it is an amazing program for kids who are behind in their academics, as well as kids, who are accelerated in their academics. I have to honestly say I wasn't a fan of homeschooling until I met and witnessed with my own eyes how smart the kids were, who came from her home school program. She has a nine-year-old daughter who is currently enrolled in a charter school for the first time and she's in the sixth grade. She also has a six-year-old son who is currently still being homeschooled and he's testing at a third grade level. Needless to say I have started my three-year-old granddaughter in her program and she's only been there a month and she's already writing her name and identifying words. I have no doubt in my mind that she will be reading shortly. If your children are falling behind in their academics, or you would like them to increase their learning abilities, I highly recommend contacting Miss Alan, at teach them how to learn

After every tutoring session George would make it his priority to ensure that me and my two girls made it to our car safely after their night time tutoring sessions. That was extremely kind and very much so appreciated! Additionally, Jim is a tutor that is highly valuable due to his vast knowledge in multiple subjects. He is always prepared and goes above and beyond to make sure his students understand the concept material. - Barb A

Our daughter was a regular at Ivy League from about fourth grade until she graduated from an elite…read morehigh school and went on to a top university (coincidentally or not, an "Ivy League" university). We brought her to Ivy League for tutoring in math initially, not because she was having problems but because we knew that she could excel in math as she already did in other areas. The tutoring at Ivy League helped her (and us) do extremely well in the most demanding math courses her school offered, as well as on every standardized test she took. Our daughter's tutors were always prepared and focused, with a genuine love of and expertise in mathematics and related areas. Some of the tutors are knowledgeable in multiple fields, and with their encouragement, our daughter discovered an interest in logic puzzles and became acquainted with math and logic games, puzzles, and concepts that were outside of the curriculum and expanded her general and specific knowledge. It has been quite a few years since her time at Ivy League; looking back, I recall the tutoring services provided as being top-notch. Parents and children are made to feel welcome, and tutors will work with specific matters (e.g. homework, test prep, standardized test practice) on request. Different children and parents have different tutoring needs. We would highly recommend Ivy League to a parent considering a tutor for their child. -- R & G C

For the last 6 months I have used KAS tutorials for my son. In particular, I have worked with Ms…read more Stepps, the owner. She is my son's tutor. He was in the 4th grade and was struggling with his math (he had gotten a C on his report card. She did an initial assessment of his skills and knowledge (even in reading) to determine and establish a starting point. This included doing addition, subtraction, simple or single digit multiplication, and division. She then worked with him during the hour long session to answer questions, model how to solve the proble., etc. She then gave weekly assignments and went over the homework she gave each week to help determine where additional support was needed. In one grading period my son's reading grade went from a B to an A+ and his math from a C to a B+. I have seen definite improvement. Her rates are way more affordable than Sylvan and other higher priced places and because she has worked at those companies previously, she is able to tailor approaches to meet your kids needs. She is old school in her philosophy (pick up a dictionary, and don't ask Google for the definition; show your work otherwise it is wrong). You won't be disappointed.
