I highly recommend this climate control facility because great customer service and great discounts along the way and I do have to say great size elevators for loading furniture and tots into with and not to mention different size dolly's to use inside the building for appliances too. I've been renting an air‑controlled 10x10 unit at Midgard Self Storage on Chisholm Road for about two years. When I signed the contract, the monthly rate was $69. Today, just two years later, they've raised it to $163 a month -- an increase of more than 58%. Their explanation was simply "market value," but that doesn't justify this kind of aggressive price gouging. What makes this worse is that my husband warned me about this exact issue. Midgard did the same thing to him years ago, raising his rate repeatedly until he finally emptied his unit. I even mentioned this when I signed my contract, and they assured me it wouldn't happen again. Clearly, that wasn't true. This feels like bad‑faith business -- lure customers in with a reasonable rate, then steadily jack up the price once you're locked in and settled. It's disappointing, and it's a clear pattern of taking advantage of customers after they sign. I would not recommend this facility to anyone looking for stable, honest pricing. read more

Nice facility, appears new and clean- well maintained, or so I thought. We used them because of their reasonable price- well after we used them we realized that the storage unit had a water drainage problem. Somehow water had made it's way into the unit and settled on the floor because it is covered in what appears to be dusty dried sediment from a water leak. Several of our items had water damage and we had to throw them away, because water had seeped up into the parts that were in contact with the floor, also some furniture had a line of discoloration, we let staff know and they were very friendly but recommended we claim it on our home owners policy, so we took pictures. We'll see how that turns out, either way we're paying for belongings that were damaged by this company's water drainage problem. In hindsight we should have put something down that would lift things off the floor and then cover it with a tarp- there were also tons of bugs and spiders because if there's water, you know there's insects too! Oh well, you live and learn. read more

BEWARE! Rent increases regularly, communication is poor, and the people you do speak to are not onsite so if you need someone's assistance from this location good luck. When you do talk to someone you get misinformation so it's not helpful anyways. read more

I have no problems with their facility. My problem is their policy/contract. We when in to the office we were told our 30 days notice would not start till the first of the month which makes our notice 48 days. We needed more room and found a unit in Muscle Shoals for 0.40 a sf we were paying 0.70 sf. read more

In the 4 years I used the storage the monthly rate went from $150 to $177.50. If you decide to use this company which I don't recommend make sure you give the 30 day notice or they will cha you another months rent. Try a local facility where you can talk person to person. read more

Complete crap customer service and management. Today I came to empty my storage unit; when I came in to close my account- I was greeted with the rudest "um did you call and tell us a month in advanced?" Forgetting my mother and aunt took care of this already- I paid the $50 that I was blind sided. You can call a month ahead and communicate everything to the T; you'll still end up with complications. Originally they forgot to have my aunt sign the contract and so when they had her come up there to sign( I moved to tallasee- aunt lives in Florence). They kept trying to raise the price on us but we were supposed to have a discount for 3 months. We communicated that very day my aunt went to sign the papers- that we were moving my stuff by the end of April 1st. Which was approved, we were told that it would be no problem at all and we wouldn't owe anything. Well I didn't know this; I thought something was off, but just paid what amber asked. So my mom called me while I was (am) heading home and told me I shouldn't have paid, since she has been the one talking to them the whole time. At the end of the day $50 is just $50... what has me the most pissed off is the audacity to have this rude and stuck up additude the whole time before and during discussing this (Amber was the lady we dealt with through out this, but we have talked to a manager that had to deal with them forgetting to have my aunt sign the contract). My mother was upset but wasn't out of line by any means; she is the nicest one you'll meet. Amber was threatening her by saying she would be harassing her and we'd have a problem if she called before a manager called??? I don't know how discussing an issue calmly is harassment but I sure as hell can tell someone doesn't enjoy their job. There was completely no need for that and I can not believe unprofessionalism that has taken place through out my experience here. Go somewhere else If you don't want to deal with the bs. There is literally 3 storage units that are close by; all I'm sure are filled with employees that will be happy to do their jobs right with out treating you like ass for trying to straighten out an issue. We are way too nice of folks to have deserved all of this. read more
