Quick Lane Tire & Auto Center - 7/13/23 alignment job good job guys

Quick Lane Tire & Auto Center

    (11 reviews)

Have to say I was surprised to see the reviews that were on here before mine. Yesterday I got the…read morebad news that a tire on my car was shot. Non repairable. Because I had all wheel drive I needed to get 4 brand new tires. The shop that I was at, at the time wanted almost $1000 just for the tires (not including tax and installation). Asked if I could do two at a time, but this shop would only do four, not exceptions. Freaking out - because who has a PFD in August to throw around? Not this girl! - I wasn't sure what I was going to do (other than I wanted to find other options). At home we did a little research and my dad (who is a super hero!) found Quick Lane's website and they had 4 new tires for several hundred dollars less. He called to make sure we weren't seeing things, and they were quick to respond and help. They explained why 4 tires were recommended (all wheel drive is fussy that way, I guess), but they wanted to work with me as best they could to make sure I wouldn't be screwed financially. Todd was FANTASTIC on the phone yesterday! THANK YOU TODD! Today I made it on time to my appointment and they were quick to help out. Todd checked me in and knew exactly who I was and what I needed. Attention to details like that is what I like. He got me signed in and I handed him my key and went to a quiet corner and sat and waited. The waiting area is clean, well lit, and surprisingly quiet for being a shop. There was water and I think coffee and a snack machine in the back part of the area, but I didn't want anything so I didn't check it out. But it looked well maintained compared to other ones I've been in. Good job, guys! The mechanics worked quickly and skillfully and I was out of there in just under an hour. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and understand customer service. They aren't just about an up-sell, they will work with you to make sure that you're satisfied and that you aren't going to break the bank. I will happily return.

I just came from what I hope is honestly the last time I have to work with QL for awhile. While the…read morepeople are nice, I have had positive experiences with them before which is why I thought to try them this year & I get it having worked at an auto parts store part-time in the past that this time of year is crazy-busy, they are especially disorganized & I was at my limit. For the last three weeks after being quoted by Aleyeska for 1500 dollars for two tires (NOT a full set), which I could not afford having just broke even after dealing with a series of medical expenses for my recovery from thyroid cancer, I was promised that I would only have to pay a little over 1 thousand dollars for tires which would have helped immensely & I agreed. My former tires were shot & I had been driving on sheer luck at that point & agreed to wait when Laurie told me that they have to order the tires & ship them- I understood this & was okay with waiting since it hadn't snowed yet. Four days & a handful of phone calls to check in turns into one week before I get a response that they have lost the delivery truck & do not know where the tires are at. I had not found another auto shop which had promised me the price they promised yet & agreed to wait. Two weeks go by & I am told the same thing every time I call, it is always the same answer, "I don't know what is going on." It sounded like a run-around excuse with how often I heard it & they were frequently bad with respecting the time frame I gave them when I could talk in the afternoons about the issue while I was quietly trying to check other locations with little luck. For context, I am an assistant nurse and Pharmacy technician. I am allowed to keep my phone on my person in case of an emergency situation with a patient but I cannot answer it when I am on the floor or handling medicines- I explained that window of time on my break was the ONLY time I was available. Despite this I had calls from Laurie and Kris during hours I was on the floor stating that they did not know what was going on which is not something you want to tell a customer or interrupt their work shift over no matter what field of work they do. It was disrespectful when I had directly explained what I do, (which apparently was quickly forgotten), that I work with the public who need my attention first and foremost and did not help my stress at this point. On the day I finally get word they have a replacement for the tires I ordered, this last Friday, within an hour apparently their missing delivery truck somehow has multiple tire orders missing & I am feeling like this is some sort of gamble to push for more money or something skeezy is going on with how many reviews I have seen on here proving this is a common excuse, I am told when I called back after taking a bit of time to review the replacement tires and decide if they were something I could work with. They wound up ordering another set of Nokian all weather tires on an '18 inch rim even though I had specified the initial time and they have it in their computer system for my car's year, make & model that it need a '20 inch & acted clueless about this information and claimed that *I* had told them wrong. I did not argue at this point as I just wanted this nightmare of a headache I have had for three weeks because of their lack of organization and vapidness to be OVER with. I paid them just earlier and there is a $35 dollar miscellaneous fee charge I never got feedback about and am too done to argue over. I was not informed that my breaks are wearing out until I called back just earlier when I saw that it had been entered on the receipt that I had declined a break check I was never asked about. I'm positive they upselled the new tires further, which do work well, I will give them that, after seeing the difference for the new tires, but again, I am emotionally and mentally done dealing with this company. The REAL kicker however was on Friday when I showed up in person early & dressed in comfortable warm clothes & was more-or-less given a once-over & felt almost unwelcome in comparison to other women who were there & more dressed up & who were waiting. There were 4 phone calls that day which made an already hectic day at the height of flue season worse & forced me to leave assisting my patients and coworkers multiple times throughout my shift when my bank had put a halt on the full payment we had previously agreed upon before I had known they'd ordered the wrong tires. Once I am clocked in, I cannot leave my job as it would be considered abandonment and had explained this with the understanding that they comprehended that, which apparently they did not when the call backs started. My head pharmacist actually pulled me from the floor and insisted I work things out because of how disruptive their phone calls were and how stressed I was from dealing with them & was told by family my character was questioned when they picked up my keys. Not great.
