My partner brought our car here while I was at work to run a diagnosis to figure out why lights were on on the dash. The car was left overnight and picked up in the morning. While we certainly had other issues with the service, my main problem is the fact that once i got out of work and saw the car, i noticed the workers had torn apart part of our back seat. Neither I nor my partner were told before the diagnostic nor when he picked up the car that they had to tear into that area. Instead we were left with a hole in the backseat for no reason and torn pieces of sponge everywhere because they didnt even have the decency to clean up the mess they made. Grossly overcharging for services is upsetting but damaging my car while theyre at it is absolutely unacceptable.

RepairSmith at my apartment fixing my car after pointing out that this Midas shop tried to bash me for a $4500 job that was unnecessary...

I brought my 2016 Charger Scatpack here because it was overheating. The friendly staff advised me that for a fee, they would inspect the engine and tell me what the issue was. A couple hours later, I get a call explaining that I had blown head gaskets. I returned to the shop and paid for the inspection ($100+) and was told that there was coolant in the oil and the head gaskets were blown. The manager did advise me that the issue could be fixed for $4500... I contacted RepairSmith and scheduled the same service that this shop offered for $2500. Seems like a win. Saved $2000, that's kinda big. But check this out... the Technician from RepairSmith inspected the car and showed me that there was zero coolant in my oil and just had a leaking radiator and a cut in the hose was spewing onto the hot engine making me think the gaskets were blown. It was soo obvious I felt like a crazy person when he pointed it out. He charged $1000 for the radiator, hoses and labor, plus he played it cool with a lousy manager at my apartment. I will never go here again and will never recommend work here. I also now question any prior work I have had done here.

How often do we mistrust car mechanics? A fair amount of us have either experienced horror stories or heard of them from friends and family. It seems like it's standard to be leery of car mechanics -- and for good reason. But, when one shop proves their trustworthiness, suddenly the standard isn't so standard anymore. The Midas on Railroad Ave has been great. I've been taking my car there for almost a year. Jason (the district manager) and Sam (the shop manager) impressed me first by remembering my name the second time I visited the shop. They remembered my car, what I came in for, etc. It was outstanding customer service. I've had some minor work done on my car, and each time they have been honest and fair. On some occasions they have not charged me for minor things. For instance, I had two leaks that were expensive to fix. While fixing them, they noticed my thermostat needed replacing. They didn't charge me for that part. That's just one of many I could share. I'd recommend this shop to anyone. They are very knowledgeable, reasonable, and most importantly, honesty. I gave four stars because there's always room for improvement.

The waiting room...

I've been to this Midas several times dating back to 2014; my latest experience reminded me that a review was warranted. I found out I had a nail in my tire, a very slow leak. I had to fill up my tire every 3-4 days to maintain proper Psi. The Ford Dealer wanted my car all-day and needed to charge me $130. When I phoned Midas, Steve answered and estimated about 20-min, and a charge of $30. No brainer! It took me more time to dress, buckle in my daughter and drive to the Midas shop than the actual patch job. I was in-and-out in less than 30-min. Enrique, the Midas technician was efficient yet professional. Steve, at the front desk, created distracting conversation with me and my 19-month old daughter. Before I knew it, I was paying and off to lunch with the Little One. I can't say enough about Midas, I recommend them to all. This review is for anybody who wishes to hear my opinion...

Initially, I brought my car to the clinic due to a recurring engine issue that I believed could be easily resolved. After a lengthy assessment, I was charged over $400 dollars for what I was assured would be a comprehensive fix. However, despite the assurances of the staff that the issue had been resolved, I continued to experience the same problem almost immediately after leaving the shop. It almost seems that all they were doing was just resetting my car so that the engine light would go away. After driving my car for about 50 miles the engine light came on AGAIN!!! I returned to the shop seeking clarification and a potential remedy, only to be met with a dismissive attitude and further charges for services that I believed should have been included in the initial repair. The lack of effective communication and customer care was disheartening, amplifying my dissatisfaction with the overall service. And the 2nd time I was charged $477 dollars for the mechanic to simply change the "THERMOSTAT HOUSING" I honestly think this amount is way too much not only do I feel like I was taking advantage, but these people are just dishonest and unprofessional. In conclusion, I cannot recommend 360Auto Clinic based on my experience. I left not only with an unresolved issue but also with a sense of having overpaid for inadequate services. I encourage potential customers to consider other options. In conclusion, if your car is having engine or transmission issues, just take it somewhere else where they will actually fix the problem. This people here don't have any experience when it comes to that issue. Don't waste your money..

Unfortunately, my recent experience really changed my perspective. Today I called because my brake light came on and I needed a quote for brake work. I was told it would cost $40 just to give me a quote. After the amount of money I've already spent there, that felt unreasonable and disappointing. In the past, I've also experienced small pricing inconsistencies -- being quoted one price, then when someone else picked up my car, the total was slightly higher. I'm not the type of person to complain over a few dollars, but it does add up and it doesn't feel good as a loyal customer. Today was the tipping point for me. Charging a fee just to provide a brake quote, especially for a repeat customer, feels like nickel-and-diming. I wanted to support a local shop, but based on my experiences, I'd recommend looking elsewhere for a business that values transparency and long-term customer relationships.

I explained this issue over the phone, and again when I arrived. The shop said my front brakes and rotors were worn, so I had both replaced. I assumed this was the reason for the noise. The staff were friendly, helpful, and the price seemed fair. However, after the replacement, the same noise was still there - which was the main reason I came in to begin with. My front brakes would need replacing eventually, but I went in mainly to diagnose the noise. They offered to check the front brakes again for free. They put my car on the lift to listen for brake noise. While I could clearly hear the high-pitched noise each time when braking, the owner said he was unable to hear it. This confused me, because my wife and child can hear the noise every time we leave the driveway. When they backed my car out, we all could hear the high-pitched noise from the rear brakes (not the front brakes). It felt like my main concern wasn't fully addressed during my first visit. I felt like I was first sold a repair (new brakes) before having my actual concerns addressed (noise). Now I'm doubting whether I also needed to replace my water pump that day - which they said was leaking when I first visited to get the brake noise checked. I paid to replace that too, but was it actually necessary, or an upsell? They said they'd take off the rear wheels for $80 to check for debris and clean them, but at this point I'm not confident they would be able to diagnose my issue anymore. I don't want to spend any more money at this shop to check something that should have been checked when I asked on my first visit. To reiterate, all of the staff were friendly and I was treated respectfully and honestly - just to be clear for anyone reading to the end. But I will be looking elsewhere for a shop that listens to customers' concerns before charging for work. UPDATE: After reading the owner's response, I feel shocked. Again, I originally came in only to diagnose a noise - not specifically to replace brakes or rotors (or a water pump). I was happy to pay for new ones in order to solve my issue - the noise. I clearly communicated I was trying to solve the noise both times. I don't appreciate being told it's my fault for not pointing out exactly which wheels the noise was coming from. I'm downgrading this from a 3-star to a 1-star review due to this response. UPDATE 2: No, I was not shown any of my old or new parts before or after replacement - I sat in the waiting room while the work was being done; during the second visit, I was only shown my own car on the lift while trying to diagnose the sound, without any parts removed. But I'm not sure what that has to do with my review. My original noise concern was not resolved, and they didn't seem able to diagnose my issue. The owner's replies to my review sound very unprofessional and accusatory (do you reply like this to every review that's not 5 stars?) and I won't be replying here anymore.

Recently he noticed the battery light stayed on and several electrical things weren't working correctly. Thankfully he drove the truck straight back to his apartment. Since I don't know any repair shops in the area and didn't want to deal with towing the truck somewhere, I searched for a mobile mechanic and found On The Go Mechanic. I reached out around 7 PM on a Friday, and he responded by 9 PM that same night. By 10 AM Saturday morning, he was already at my son's apartment. The diagnostic was $75, and he quickly confirmed the problem was the alternator. He explained that it might take until Tuesday or Wednesday to locate the correct OEM alternator and mentioned he prefers OEM because many aftermarket ones don't last as long. I appreciated the honesty. He didn't require a deposit and said he'd call when he located the part. To my surprise, first thing Monday morning he called to say he had tracked one down, but there were two possible versions and he needed to remove the old one to confirm which was correct. He came out, removed the alternator, sourced the right replacement, and returned shortly after. After a deposit for the part, he finished the job in about two hours, including reinstalling everything. He even sent me a video of the truck running with the correct voltage reading, which was great since I wasn't there in person. Because I was coordinating everything remotely from Ventura, this could have been stressful -- but he made the whole process very easy, transparent, and professional. Communication was excellent and payment through Zelle was simple. If you' need a reliable mobile mechanic, I would absolutely recommend On The Go Mechanic.
