Found this shop via google. Spoke to Mike the manager who was very courteous and polite over the phone. I then decided to take my truck in. They discovered other major issues with the vehicle, other than what I anticipated. However, they were very upfront immediately, about the price of the work needed and detailed why. I highly commend the mechanic who worked on the vehicle, Robert (resembles a famous actor in my opinion) who is certified, professional and knowledgeable. He is most definitely one of the very few who "takes pride in his work" judging from what I have observed with other large national chain. Highly recommend without reservation. I moved to the island about 8 months ago and needed an new shop to take my vehicles to. I'm always hesitant about finding a new place because let's be honest, there are a lot of crooked car places. This is not one of those! These people are honest and are not trying to squeeze you for every penny! I took my car in to replace a lug nut on all 4 tires that I had lost the key to. They gave me a very fair price UP FRONT, and then that's what I paid when the job was done. Staff is very pleasant every time I've stopped by. I went in for a nail in my tire and they called to tell me that the tire was actually bald and they couldn't fix it. They didn't charge me and also the tire was definitely bald and I just hadn't noticed. I will continue to bring my business to this Midas! read more

I've used this Midas a few times for oil changes and this last one guarantees i will never return. The new owner was rude and dismissive. I went in for an oil change and to see if they could diagnose the rattle from my engine. I was then lectured on checking my oil often and told that was my issue. I asked if the noise had gone away and the owner said no. It only got worse after leaving their store so i went to another mechanic and they diagnosed an air compressor failure with my A/C. With the new ownership and their customer service i will definitely not go back. But DBoyz auto is great! read more

I had bought tires previously at Sears automotive. I was not asked, as it was not available for Road Hazard. I bought several tires after purchasing four new tires. I ended up needing tires again, as I put 125000 miles as a Uber driver. I had asked at another location Midas that the was very important in my next purchase. Bought four new Sumitmo tires and went to my first rotation to find by surprise, that I did not get Road hazard. I was shocked and had thought I was duped again. Well, I called Midas and was asked if I could go to the store closest to my home for an inspection. I am thankful that I did. Sliced new tire, and was allowed to buy road hazard from Jon Kellem. I am proud to have this store in my neighborhood. These professionals are a place where I will always give great reporting. I drove my '99 toyota solara down from Boston and apparently ended up with a broken sway bar link. I called around and every place i called to either told me that I had to bring it in and let them take a look so they can give me an estimate, or they have to take parts out and check and then tell me the cost to fix. OR telling me i needed to change Both sway bar links on each side. Every other place that I talked to made me feel like they just wanted more money from me. Finally, i decided to call here and it was probably the best decision I've made that day. I called and spoke with Gargis aka Gary? And he was very very helpful during the whole process. He told me the price of labour + fixing both sway bar. Then i told him i only need 1 bar fixed and if i gave him the part that I bought at auto zone, is there any price reduction. He said of course and told me the price and it was significantly cheaper. Sadly, as the mechanic (who i must say was very thorough and helpful in explaining to me the problem with the CV axle) looked to fix the bar, he found the CV axle problem and told me i probably should get that fixed pretty soon. With already having been given some good impressions and allowing me to feel comfortable with letting them do what they need to do, i ended up leaving with my sway bar link fixed, cv axle replaced new, and a great discount because Gargis was very understanding with the whole ordeal. Not once did I feel like anybody here wanted to get every penny I had in my pocket and not once did any of them make it seem like fixing one side if the car is more problematic and that I needed to fix two of everything. I really love how professional, honest, and considerate they are. Both the manager and the mechanic. Great people. I can now feel safe enough to drive another 1380 miles back to Boston. If i ever drive here from boston again, i will always come back here if I have any vehicle issues. read more

AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE. Came to this place to have a standard 5-lug tire changed and they refused to do it.... said they didn't know how. Maybe they should learn how to change a tire. I would give a negative star if possible. Don't waste your time! read more

Had my SUV oil changed here yesterday and they did a terrific job. Very happy with the customer service and I LOVED they had Christian music playing and different prayer pictures and such . A very different vibe in this place ! I loved it ! And it was $15 cheaper than the place behind Dunkin' Donuts. read more

I downloaded yelp just to write this review because I feel so highly about this Midas. I drove down from Orlando to possibly buy a used car, and took it to this Midas for a pre-purchase inspection. To start, one of the few places even open on Sat/Sun! And for the extremely low price for the inspection ($45 and I was expecting and willing to pay around $100)... it was incredibly thorough and they took their time to really give me great knowledge about the current shape that the car was in! Everything you could think of that you would want checked on was done so above and beyond, and I couldn't have been more incredibly impressed. I usually hate dealing with mechanics/auto shops to get ripped off or not thoroughly looked at but this experience was the exact opposite! I'm so glad to see there are still great places like this to bring your vehicle to, I am thinking of even driving out here anytime I need my vehicle serviced or worked on! First, I am a customer. I'm not an employee or a family member or friend of an employee at this business. I had work done on my 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee in Connecticut before moving to Florida. There was a problem with the work they did on my vehicle's brakes, so I brought it to this Midas in Merritt Island, as I felt that the work would be covered by Midas at any location. Truthfully, I was expecting this shop to say something like, "Your problem is covered. We have to charge you for any work we do." To my pleasant surprise, this was not the case. The manager is a gentleman named Gary. He was wonderful. He put my vehicle right in, which was extremely nice since they were very busy. The mechanics worked on the brakes, and THERE WAS NO CHARGE! They were wonderful! They honored the Midas warranty on the work done in Connecticut. They were quick and very efficient. The shop in Connecticut didn't properly bleed the brake system after replacing calipers and pads. I am so happy with the manager and mechanics, and it is a pleasure to recommend this shop. I cannot rave about this business enough! I moved to the area only 8 weeks ago and don't have any family here. The starter went out on my vehicle and this business was amazing and even helped save me money by letting me provide my own starter! They were able to get my car in immediately and minimized the amount of work I missed because of it. Every single employee I encountered was kind, helpful and they took their time to explain what they did to fix my car. I was in very good hands and never once felt like I was being taken advantage of since I am a woman. This business now has a new loyal customer. to busy to even look at my badly leaking power steering to even give me an estimate. but they did have time to clean up the spill from my power steering. might have went back to them the next day if they as they say gave me the time of day. another location in melbourn fl. which when i told them about my vsc coming on immediately took my car in and found i have dangerous bad front tire rods and they fixed it on the spot. not sure if this location would have done the same thing. they seemed more interested in closing on time than helping a customer. read more
