Truly a hidden gem in Fairfax! We've had the absolute joy of being part of the Michuchutren community for two years now, and I can confidently say this preschool is something special. I've had my daughter in another Spanish immersion preschool in NOVA, so I came in with a point of comparison -- and Michuchutren is a million times better in every way. From the very beginning, we were struck by the warm, welcoming environment and the Montessori-inspired setup where children learn through play and hands-on activities. There's no busywork here -- everything the kids do is intentional and thoughtfully planned. It's a mixed-age classroom, and it works beautifully. The younger kids learn by watching the older ones, and the older kids rise to the occasion, taking pride in being role models. It creates an incredibly positive dynamic and natural learning flow. The Spanish immersion is top-notch. The kids not only finish speaking Spanish fluently -- they live the language every day through songs, storytelling, and play. My daughter learned to read and write in Spanish here, and watching her language skills grow so effortlessly has been amazing. The Christmas and end-of-year presentations (all in Spanish) are a true testament to how much the kids learn and how much joy they find in it. A huge part of what makes Michuchutren so special is the staff. Angie, my daughter's teacher, is beyond incredible. She is soft-spoken, kind, patient, and deeply caring -- all while maintaining calm and consistent control of the classroom. Her presence is steady and reassuring. My daughter adores her and often tells us that when someone misbehaves or breaks a rule, all Angie says is, "It's okay, you're learning." That level of compassion and respect for children's growth is rare and deeply appreciated. The directors, Pilar and Andres, are equally wonderful. They're warm, approachable, and genuinely attentive to the needs of both children and parents. They've created a space where families feel seen and supported. After two years here, I can honestly say I haven't met a single parent who isn't thrilled with their child's experience. The community is tight-knit, and the love for this school is unanimous. I've been attending mi Chu Chu trens parent and me class with my one year old daughter at the busybees in fairfax and have absolutely loved the experience. The class is done all in Spanish, the instructor is kind and engaging and the kids love her, and it's all around fun! My daughter has loved going! read more

My 2 kids have had the opportunity to attend to MiChuchuTren. Our youngest is still there and she enjoys every day she goes to school. The staff is amazing and they really care about the kids and they make sure kids are happy and learn the Spanish language. Kids learn Spanish playing with each other and in our case our both kids talk in Spanish at home but I have seen kids with no Spanish background develop their skills within the first few weeks at school. Our oldest daughter now is in 3rd grade and she enjoys reading, speaking and talking in Spanish. She never had a class that taught her how to read Spanish and she started doing at the same time she was reading English. I'm convinced MiChuchuTren helped her developed the skills to learn how to read in Spanish. What make Mi ChuChu Tren special is the Great, great teachers. My daughter has been there since she is 2years old, she is now 4, and there is nothing we don't love about her school. They focus on building your kids confident, leadership, empathy, while keeping them motivated learning Spanish, geography, math, science, etc. I'm so grateful for all the love, education, and all the values her teachers has imparted in her. She love going to school every day. My daughter is proud of the bilingualism and enjoy practicing her Spanish with her friends. The teachers are talented and love what they do! They keep you well inform about your kids, not just through the app every day but by meeting regularity with parents to talk about your kids individual needs, progress, etc. They really take the time to know their students and their individual needs. Mi hija ha estado allí desde que tiene 2 años, ahora tiene 4 años, y no hay nada que no nos guste de su escuela. Until this year, our daughter has been home with a family member so it took her some time to transition to non-family care. The teachers at Michuchutren were incredibly patient with her and made me feel comfortable leaving my daughter in their care. She's learned SO much - she did not know any Spanish before starting and she's now singing songs and speaking short sentences. In addition to being warm and kind, the teachers do a great job organizing the kids and teaching them meaningful life skills. I also want to compliment Michuchutren for being proactive with flu season; they've increased their already top-notch cleaning protocols and they have each kid wash their hands upon entry to the school and several times throughout the day. Lastly, their communication is incredible. We get daily pictures or videos, weekly program updates, monthly newsletters, and they host family events too. We could not be more thrilled and appreciative for Michuchutren! We'll be back every summer and school year until kindergarten! read more
