This place is located on Plaza Real next to Toks. I was so excited to find a salon where I could do my hair and nails. The place is cute and clean and they've been open for 20 years I was told. The reason they didn't get 5 stars is the service. I asked for mani pedi plus blow dry. Then they put me on a dark room where there's ONE light to be shared by mani and pedi. Then they explained to me they ar remodeling so that area used to be the spa area, that's why is so dark. I was in a rush so I asked them to NOT cut my cuticles. At the end, after asking them OVER 10 times NOT to cut my cuticles and I couldn't see exactly what they were doing because they were also blow drying my hair. I end up with some infection on my tow nail because they pulled some skin from under the nail and still hurts 2 days later!!! All I asked was to file and color my nails but apparently they MUST remove some skin. Then the hair dresser wasn't so experienced because this is the first time in my life that a hairdresser didn't know how to blow dry a hair without a flat iron. I've been doing with a brush for over 20 years and that's what I asked. So the front of my hair wasn't straight, only spiked. I asked him to use some heat protectant and he said oil would damage the hair. Hahahaah that's the first time I heard that bit the guy wasn't even 20 years old. I am not sure how much training a person needs to become a hair dresser in the island but for sure this guy had none. He was sweet and nice but thankfully I wasn't there to cut my hair so I was able to finish his job at home. So when it was time to pay, they charged me spa mani and spa pedi which was ridiculous because I didn't ask for it. I told them I was in a rush but I just paid and left. After getting outside and seeing my nails in the light I had bubbles in every single nail. The nail polish I chose was light grey and outside the color was purplish. I am not sure what it was added in the nail polish or what kind of top coat it was used but I have that nail polish color at home and it is light gray. So I end up paying $890 pesos before tips to get an ingrown and infected toe nail, blow dried hair that I had to finish at home and bubbles in every nail. I will post pictures. Maybe after they are done remodeling and have better lighting and I do my nails paying close attention to it and then do my hair with an older and more experienced hair dresser I could try them again.
