I went to a public hospital (LB-UKH) on the day of the injury, where they gave me an appointment for an MRI which would have been a 3.5 weeks later, followed by another appointment with the doctor in charge after another two weeks where he'd interpred the scans. I then contacted Dr. Gaebler, got an appointment for an MRI in the same week. He seems rather reluctant taking patients to the operating theatre, but says that there was no other option but a surgery in my case. We made an appointment in a private clinic (Goldenes Kreuz) where he fixed it in just 1.5 weeks after he gave me his opinion. I then used the option to watch my own surgery on the monitor while he explained what he was doing. I left the hospital on the day after, began physio a good week after the surgerz (at Spot) and am almost fully recovered now. At all stages, he clearly explained what was going on, and gave me all choices that he could. Waiting times were almost non-existent, and he and his team acted very professionally throughout the process. The initial appointment was a bit pricy (180 Euros), which however was covered by my insurance.

We found her divine, humble, kind, friendly, welcoming, professional, knowledgeable and reassuring. She is a good listener and at the same time, takes time to explain the surgical issues/problems and the solutions. For my wife she took well care of her after the operation. Her pre- and post-operation care of patients is adorable. We always felt in safe hands. Her English language skills are excellent and people like us who do not know German well find discussions with her very fruitful. Our whole experience with Prof. Exner was highly positive and great.

So I got a good feeling of how they work and what the conditions and the staff are like. And I can only say that I, being totally afraid of hospitals, felt really comfortable. Great staff, really friendly and fun, very knowledgeable doctors and the building is really beautiful!
