I was supposed to "only" come here with a friend, more or less to act as a translator. After chatting with the doctor and making another appointment for my friend afterwards, she asked me when my last time at the dentist was....when I told her it was 4 years ago, she kinda just made an appointment for me as well! :D But she is brilliant! You never have to wait for a long time (usually they wait for YOU) - unless there's an emergency with a child, which happened in my case. Of course I allowed the boy to go in first, and everyone, including the dentist, the assistant, and the boy's mother thanked me afterwards. Dr. Höpfl is really friendly, and she definitely knows what she is doing. Also, if you ever have a question, she explains everything in detail! (I had to wait a few minutes til my X-ray picture was finished and we were both bored, so she basically gave me a dentistry crash course) She's thorough, yet swift, and I seriously felt that I was in good hands. She also speaks English, so if you just moved to Erlangen and are in need of a dentist, go here! I can't even believe myself how happy I am with this woman, but suddenly going to the dentist's isn't that bad anymore. (And yet I sincerely hope I won't NEED to go back anytime soon!) Bottom line: * Thorough, friendly and very professional * Speaks English * You can make last-minute appointments as well * Best dentist I have ever gone to, no kidding
