I went because I'm in perimenopause and have gained 10-12 lbs in the past year. It does't sound like a lot but I'm small, only 4'11", so 12 lbs is a lot, especially considering I work out 6 days a week and follow a very healthy diet. Having tried nutritionists and personal trainers, I was just looking for some medical guidance and, yes, meds if necessary. They put me on testosterone and I trusted them that it would do the trick. After just eight weeks I GAINED SEVEN POUNDS. 1.5 was muscle but oh my lord. I almost died right there in the office looking at that scale. On top of the weight gain, the other side effects were horrid, some irreversible. I have a history of Graves disease so when the NP I was working with suggested thyroid meds I agreed but was skeptical. After sleeping on it I decided to cancel everything. They tried to convince me to stick with it and they'd revamp the dosage, but I finally broke down and said it was beginning to effect my mental health. With that, the office manager quickly agreed to terminate the contract and I appreciated that she didn't push it any further. I've recently started over with an endocrinologist, who was FLOORED by my lab results saying first that my testosterone was fine from the start and the amount I was taking was "what people transitioning take." Please, do yourself a favor and talk to your GP and/or GYN before going to this or any other that messes with hormones. I'm out about $2000 with all the meds, vitamins, and blood work that wasn't covered by my insurance and am worse off physically now than I was before. It was a waste of time and money and the experience set me back a year in my health goals.

I used to go there for vitamin IVs, etc. for years, which were very helpful to me and always,…read morewithout issue. Alka eventually sold me on mesenchymal stem cells via IV infusion and topical, all at once. The stem cells were not FDA approved for the procedures she used them for on me and they caused me to have serious, painful issues for a year and ongoing. My central nervous system was also seriously derailed and I was never warned of that possibility in conversation. There was no conversation about the possibility of a bad reaction or my body rejecting the cells. I do not feel I was given appropriate oral warning of any potential negative side effects and I was basically told for a few years, prior to doing it, and during several conversations, that the cells are used on their high end clients, they work so well and could greatly benefit me. That was not the case for me, AT ALL. My body has never been the same since. I had to seek out tons of real medical doctors and spend tons of money, research and time to help me just partially recover from the tragic result. All I got from Alka was appeasement, no real answers, a lot of "I understands" and finally...a... "low histamine diet" recommendation. I ended up having to go back to bare minimal basics in every area of my life because my body could not handle anything, digestion wise, topical wise, etc. Unfortunately, I trusted my provider and that will never happen to me again. The entire experience was a disgrace to say the very least. When things went incredibly wrong, she dumped me like a bad habit with no answers and left me to fend for myself. I was a great patient to them for years prior and that's how I was appreciated in the end. It was shameless. She also microneedled my eye skin without asking me for permission first. I was on the table and she just did it without even telling me. That was pretty shocking and it felt so invasive, not to mention the procedure destroyed my skin and it's still healing almost an entire year post procedure, along with my microneedled face which burned intensely. I could not use any of my old skin products without serious burning pain (I had to use the most basic, bare minimal products for a year) and I could not go in the sun for up to ...8 MONTHS post procedure!!!. Lastly, I did not get proper pre or post instructions for a microneedling procedure which was pretty bad and negligent. - Kelly Alder
