One would think that the firm would handle long term clients with the same professionalism , but not the case . Stuart handed over our returns for the last few years to underlings who cost us a great deal of money . He had me sending documents multiple times and claim he never received them ( even after our financial advisor confirmed) he couldn't bother to send over a basic Obama care healthcare form that i sent in and cost us $.. he began to charge us erroneous fees for consulting that was never done and this year wanted to charge twice for his fees ( my wife and i have Sep names) ., no apologies ever.. when i inquired specifically about his fee structure for 2026 he told me an amount . He then proceeded to charge me over that amount and when addressed multiple times - did nothing .. non professional and non communicative .. sad that after 28 years we have to find representation elsewhere.

The communication, investigative research, guidance, and counsel provided by The Dolins Group was absolutely HORRIBLE! I asked on several occasions (five to be exact) for a formal review and Q&A session. I was never granted the review and ultimately received an email suggesting that I prepay hundreds of thousands of dollars to the state and the IRS while requesting an extension...no review...no discussion...an email with the extension request and the payment voucher. I contacted Steve Dolins to express my disappointment and he simply disregarded my concerns and claimed this to be standard operating procedure. He also sent me an invoice for $5,600 without providing any work product!! Was I furious? Yes! So he resigned as my accountant after I had already prepaid the taxes that he instructed. Now he is unwilling to provide me with the data and forms that correspond with the payments I made. If you're seeking good counsel, knowledgeable staff support, high quality customer service, and reasonable cost structure....THIS IS NOT YOUR PLACE!!! BUYER BEWARE!! Goldberg and our initial video conversation was brief about updating our revocable trust document. When we went to his office to drop off our original document, Michael's assistant accepted the document. I asked her if we can speak to him (since he literally was sitting across from where we were) and we were told he does not have time. Even though he saw us standing not far from his office, he did not even say hello. Once we received the updated document, we had questions. His assistant once again was the ONLY person we can speak to and we were charged for the phone conversation which did not provide satisfactory answers to our questions. There was no status or communications from this office unless I reached out to ask for status. One response I got was "I wasn't sure where we left off", another response to my inquiry (30 days after dropping off the files) was "Since this is a business return I will have to work through that first before working on your personal return." Umm yeah! In April 2026 I wrote an email to Amy and her team that stated waiting in queue during tax season is reasonable but it was unacceptable to reach June and still nothing has been done. Needless to say I went to pick up my tax files today, still sitting on the front desk, the Amanda stated, "I tried advocating for you"... my response "what does that mean". I explained you are a service. I called to inquire, Amy accepted the work, and then you put company's at risk by doing nothing? I just don't get it. Amanda then said, "I wish I could do it for you but I'm not a CPA." Again I said, "what does that mean?" She started to define CPA but I said why would you even say that to a client. It's so ridiculous. We are on the hunt for a new CPA. This one needs to close down. HORRIBLE service and rude people.
