"Thank you" I said as I accepted the proffered piece of cocktail sausage on a stick from the nice lady in front of FXBs. It was indeed good, a high pork content with a sweetness on the end, good enough to give the famous Superquinn sausages a run for their money. As a result I joined the queue and got a pound of sausages and a couple of steaks... all very good and well worth a revisit.

Anyway its your traditional butcher and its in a great location too. instead of getting yukky prepacked, probably flash frozen and thawed meat in tesco you can go in here after your shopping and pick up some meat that came from irish animals. the butchers in here are very friendly and are always willing to give advice on cooking and cutting your meat. this is a butcher where you can order your turkey for christmas too!

They're food is just so fresh and lovely you can't go wrong. The awards they've won speak volumes! Like Q pointed out they've got a selection of meat that comes from faraway places. Now I've never had the crocodile, but Ostrich meat is absolutely delicious and can be turned into yummy, juicy Ostrich burgers. The miraculous thing is that it's healthier than usual burger meat as well! A win win situation all around!

In the case of Donovan's they have a couple of things going for them; they totally get the idea of customer service, about being friendly and helpful but they also have a product I have never seen anywhere else, a thing called Boewoers sausage. It comes from South Africa and is 100% meat made as it is from beef, pork & bacon. It is also loaded with lots of interesting spices. The result is a party in my mouth and everyones invited! No marinade needed just grill or bbq them - tremendous

That's about the only thing that shows that O'tooles have been around for a while, the rest of the shop is modern and clean and they do a wild boar sausage to die for (was he really wild? sir, when he was shot he was furious!). This shop is related to the O'tooles in Dun laoghaire, I didn't realise this till I was the sign on the window for Kobe beef, so rare that when to shops of the same name are selling it you know they are the same folks! They are also completely organic... well who isn't I suppose!?
