Dryden-Edwards Psychiatric Services - A letter from Dryden Edwards office and signed by Charlene Morgan PA-C without having a conversation with me while severely distressed.

There are no stars for the Psychiatric health from Dryden-Edwards entire staff…read more Unfriendly, obnoxious, bullying, revolving door, dirty, small tight waiting room, unprofessional staff and unethical psychiatrist and PA-C. I have never been mistreated when in severe distress. I was told to leave bc I displayed inappropriate behavior. My once PA-C could not recognize my distress. The bad behavior was telling a manager who instigated an argument with me (distressed client) "I do not give a shit who you are". I wanted to speak with my once PA-C - Charlene Morgan but was told that I could not and was asked to leave bc I was no longer her client. Extremely unethical and unprofessional. Charlene Morgan went along with a 5 minute assessment of managers summary of events and she asked me to leave. I wonder if they know they work at a mental health facility. I would never refer this facility to anyone.

Went here for about 6 years and had a decent relationship with my psychiatrist. She was fine,…read morefriendly and professional. I always had a weird vibe about office management, and had issues early on with them. I made a point to schedule reminders in my phone after I scheduled an appointment because I did miss one once. I was billed about $100 for the appointment I missed and I paid as it was my fault. Five years went by and I didn't have any other issues. Then I scheduled an appointment around the holidays, which is a busy time of year for me. There was a snafu at the office regarding my doctors availability so they moved my appointment and claim to have left me a voicemail about it. I showed up the day of my appointment and was informed it was not for another 3 hours. I have two toddlers who I had to pickup from daycare and was in the midst of the busiest time of the year at work. I told the receptionist I couldn't wait that long and had to pick up my children. The office called while I was in route to get the kids and left another voicemail asking if I could do the appointment via phone. I can't, I have toddlers to care for. My doctor called to check in the following day and left a voicemail. I responded to her that I was doing ok and that I would call back to reschedule soon. This was Christmas week and I had in-laws staying at my house for the next two weeks. Around New Years I got a bill for this "missed appointment." $140. At that point I called and explained, they said they'd get back to me. No response. Here we are under quarantine, I'm at home with no daycare, my wife is working two jobs and I'm working mine and we're trying to juggle all of that with caring for our two young children. We are mentally drained--and Dryden-Edwards and associates is constantly calling and threatening to take me to collections over this. Pathetic. I paid the bill to make it go away and they called me a week later STILL THREATENING COLLECTIONS. This office is ruthlessly incompetent and has terrible customer service. To pressure a patient under these circumstances to pay a fee which was issued out of their own incompetence...I just don't dont have the words. Stay far, far away and find a psychiatrist who hires employees that understand how to treat their patients with dignity and respect and not like rubes to be shaken down for every last nickel.

I "tried" working with Judy Tyson, PhD for family therapy and it actually made things worse. Dr…read more Tyson is very expensive and spends most of your session time talking over you, interrupting, putting her own words in your mouth, and trying to repeat things back to you that make no sense. A therapist should help facilitate discussions, try to help you identify resolutions within yourself, and let you say whatever you want to without taking over and inserting their own opinion. This woman doesn't do any of that. Especially in family therapy when you want someone to be neutral, she seems to alienate one person while taking sides with the other, all while claiming she has a "birds eye view"-- not true when she builds a relationship with only one person of of the two. That's just not what a therapist is supposed to do. Then she will try to extend your session because at the end of the day, it's about the almighty dollar. I truly believe if you are in a position where you are seeking individual or family therapy, you need someone that doesn't just talk or force their own opinions on you. You need someone that listens to understand, and has the kind of compassion that makes you feel that you have a safe space to talk and a partner in this journey. There are many therapists in the area that do not cost as much, and you leave feeling better than when you walked in. I strongly advise anyone looking, to search elsewhere as the area has many wonderful therapists that know what their doing, and are able to maintain proper code of conduct and ethics unlike this woman.

The first time I received true relief was when I got a ketamine infusion. Unfortunately my doctor's office no longer is able to do ketamine infusion so I switched to spravato. I was extremely excited and the treatment was providing me a quality of life I hadn't had in many years. Unfortunately thanks to one conversation with Dr Grammer the facility decided the fact that I don't like to use the word depression when discussing my mental health because of the negative connotations associated with it that I was essentially lying about my mental health despite medical records and examinations as recently as 2023 from a court appointed psychologist who claims I have TRD CPTSD and Anxiety I've also seen many psychiatrists and psychologists over the years who have all told me I have it. But because I choose not to use that word when describing my mental health Dr grammer forced the other staff into canceling my treatments. I was told I would be receiving a call from a bravado coordinator to help me switch to a different facility and that was 4 days ago. I tried calling today to get a hold of someone and they flat out refused when I called the call center and I called the office. Do not go here if you want a good experience for spravato. No one should be fearful of their doctor and this facility also has only one doctor on site at all times no other medical staff just administrative staff. That is unsafe and based on what I have read is possibly against medical protocol for spravato. Do not go here if you want to have it good health care there are plenty of other providers first Spravato. They may be a great facility for TMS but for spravado they are in fact one of the worst facilities If not the worst facility you could go to for it.

I went to Greenbrook for TMS treatment for severe depression and anxiety earlier this year. The…read moreintake process was fine. But every subsequent step was a disaster. The TMS treatment did nothing. I actually felt worse by the time it was over. And the way Greenbrook does billing is annoying. The front desk, at least in Kensington, doesn't collect copays at the time of treatment (and of course I forgot to ask). So once I was finished with all the treatments and still miserable I got a bill from TMS for over $500. It was a bitter pill to swallow. Since I was so desperate and had tried everything else, I agreed to try Spravato at Greenbrook, despite the failure of TMS. The level of incompetence and indifference I witnessed during intake was amazing. No one seemed to know who I should speak with or even how to book the appointment. At least one consultation was cancelled because they set me up to speak with the wrong doctor. They also seemed thrown off by the fact that the facility where I was going to be treated, Cabin John, was new. Apparently Greenbrook lacks the institutional bandwidth to schedule appointments at new locations. Anyway, after several false starts I managed to meet virtually with the right doctor. After showing up 20 minutes late, he told me it was just a matter of submitting the claim to insurance for pre-approval to get started. That was only to take two weeks. But after three weeks I heard nothing. I called Greenbrook several times begging them to follow up with the insurance company so I can get started. The voicemail I left at Cabin John was not returned. I managed to get a hold of someone in the Rockville office, who assured me that someone would call me back ASAP. They never did. If you're suffering from depression and anxiety, go somewhere else. If my experience is any guide, Greenbrook either cannot or will not help you. They will probably make it worse.
