Selling our beloved home of 24 years with Michael Collins was a pleasure from start to finish.  The 'start' was several years ago when we frequently checked in with Michael about market conditions and making smart improvements on our house. We had the added complication of wanting to transfer our tax basis to our next home which required us to be confident of what price we would get for our place.  Michael invited a dozen colleagues to come to our house and weigh in on pricing.  That was invaluable and gave us the confidence to list. The market presentation was no less than spectacular and on the first day of brokers open we had a traffic jam on our street and a fantastic offer.  The escrow was completely 'snag free' thanks to his thoroughness and advance planning to stay ahead of all deadlines.  Michael is a straight shooter and always gave us his honest professional opinion. read more

I'm the executor for an estate in West Los Angeles. Although based in NY, I was suddenly responsible for selling a condominium in a market I knew nothing about. I interviewed a couple of brokers but was immediately impressed with Michael's understated manner and obvious deep knowledge of the market. He proposed steps to better market the property that I would never have thought of. He not only showed me comps and described general market conditions but helped me understand how the market was moving that made me better informed regarding asking price, timing, and sale strategy. Michael suggested improvements I needed to make and those not to worry about. He helped me compare and negotiate the best deal given a soft and declining market. Looking back, the process was relatively quick. And most of all successful! read more

I have known MIchael for over 30 years as a respectable real estate agent and all around great guy! When it came time for me to sell my first property after living in it for over 30 years, I immediately called Michael to be my agent. We chatted, came up with a sales plan and he went right to work marketing my home! 1 month later we were in escrow and then 1 month after that we had a closed deal. I could not be more thrilled with the results and the professionalism of my agent Michael Collins. Scott David read more

We have purchased and sold several homes with Michael since the late 80's. Each time we work with him, he always exceeds our expectations. With Michael, the client always comes first. Michael's extensive knowledge of current real estate conditions and his finesse in deal making, makes the entire process of buying or selling as effortless and trouble-free as possible. Due to an extremely low inventory, buying anything in the current market can be a challenge. We knew there would be a bidding situation, yet Michael gently guided us through the process with ease and expertise and without any pressure to continue, if we weren't comfortable. Though there were a few challenges with this transaction, Michael stayed in control and managed the entire process with absolute professionalism. That comes from someone with years of experience and a genuine interest in helping others achieve their dream We will continue to work with Michael for all our real estate transactions. Thanks again, Michael! read more

Since we are not "flippers", we find the infrequent buying and selling of property to be highly stressful events. Enter Michael Collins of Coldwell Banker Global Luxury. From the moment we first met Michael, he reassured us that we would successfully sell our home on our own terms. Throughout the course of the sale, his actions matched his words. Although Michael is extremely knowledgeable and skillful, we find his biggest asset to be his willingness to listen. He heard our goals and helped us achieve them. We frequently said to each other during the sale: "You'd think our property was worth millions of dollars (it isn't) with the attention Michael pays us". We wholeheartedly recommend Michael Collins to anyone who is considering the sale or purchase of a home. He is a man of integrity, compassion and kindness. Michael is the BEST! Thank you for your guidance and advice in our new home search. You were tremendously helpful in reviewing the real estate alternatives we considered throughout the year. Each time we found a place we believed to be "the one," you immediately took the time for a thorough review and shared the positive and also highlighted the negative aspects of the property that we may have overlooked. Your honesty and integrity give us great confidence in our purchase. Your attentiveness and concern for us to purchase the "right" home displayed your objectivity and we appreciate it. We are very pleased with the work you have done for us. You shielded us from a great deal of stress, confusion, and headaches through escrow on both our Beverly Hills condo in 2005 and for our Malibu home in 2012! We were recommended & introduced to Michael Collins, and his business partner Allie, when we first moved to LA over two years ago. Coming from NYC, we knew we wanted to buy our first home in LA but didn't know much about the LA market nor truthfully what we really wanted/needed. Michael & Allie stuck with us through it all! We went to several rounds of searching until finally, just over a month ago, we closed on our new home in the Hollywood Hills. We never felt rushed or pushed; we asked more questions than one could possibly imagine every step of the way; and Michael and Allie were nothing but patient, professional, knowledgeable, trust-worthy, and just overall super pleasant to work with!
