Read this before you waste your time. After speaking to some close friends about this horrible experience, that I paid for, one friend coined it best. "Wow, you went there to find hope and support, and you got stabbed in the back". Michael starts asking my wife and I the typical questions. Then he segwayed to questions that had to do with physical abuse. After we both answered no, nothing like that had ever occurred, he stayed on it, clearly with an agenda. I was thinking this is odd, very unprofessional that he continues on this line of reasoning after we said no. Then he asks me specifically, "do you ever imagine hitting your wife"? This was very bizarre to me, why would he be asking me that specific question...and it only gets worse from here. After I answered no, I've never even thought of hitting my wife, he starts to ask questions about tough times in my life. Just as I was finished explaining, he asks my wife, "Is he always this wound up." Wound up I thought, he was just asking me about the stressful situations in my life, is it not common to be wound up when you're talking about stressful situations? This guy is a professional I thought? After he asked my wife the question about me being wound up, he turns to me and says, "I imagine you're opposed to medication". At that point I was really confused. Now he's talking about me taking medication??! He hardly knows me I thought. I said not really, I've never thought about it. He says looking at my wife, "well there is a chance if you don't get this under control he could hit you in the future". WHAT? I thought I misheard....and get what under control, how you perceive me to be explaining a stressful story about my life? This again is after my wife and I both answered explicitly there has never even been a thought of physical anything? I swear on all that is good that's what he said. At that point I had enough, I was not happy. I told him HE, might hit HIS wife, then I said, you don't have a wedding ring on that finger? You're a marriage therapist and you're not even married? He said this isn't about me and was VERY agitated. This was all to much. I stood up and walked out of his office as I spewed a few expletives at him. He license should be pulled. read more

Michael Bailey is one of the most intelligent, kind, and decent persons that I have ever met. I trust him implicitly and you can too! He has helped me through some really tough times and he has truly helped me make some wonderful changes in my life. I would give him my highest recommendation. Michael is an very nice and friendly person. He is a professional in every way and he also has a gentle bed side manner. He will help you to understand the problems that you are facing in order to help you begin making the necessary changes that will lead you to a much better life. If you want someone who will be honest with you and truly help you make a difference in your life, then you should go spend a few sessions with this man. As the Serenity Prayer says, "God, grant me the Serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the Courage to change the things I can, and the Wisdom to know the difference." I would avoid him! My husband and I who have master degrees in education and psychology sought his services. First off he wears a lab coat. In our first session I was asking him questions about his practice and process and he asked me who was going to be in charge. He proceeded to give us a book and dvd to read and watch. There are many good counselors out there. He's not one of them. read more

Michael helped me so much with the loss of my daughter! This is a loss like none other and one that you live with forever! Some of my most important recollections that Michael inspired me to do was celebrate who she was and how she made such a difference in so many lives! He was so right and I can't thank him enough for making me realize that! I will always miss my daughter and cherish who she was and how many people she helped! Michael was able to provide me resources to reduce my anxiety in a short amount of time before heading off to college. He get rights to the point when dealing with an issue which I think is great! BEWARE BEWARE. I attended 3 sessions with michael bailey, for anxiety and severe stress due to a work related injury. I also have trouble sleeping due to this anxiety (he was well aware of this.) Michael acted like he cared during our sessions and serious about helping me. I explained that I was on a fixed income and my stress was caused by the uncertainty of being able to support my family due to this injury. I explained I was on workers comp, and He acted like he cared, Boy was I wrong. He created a "policy" to bill clients $195.00 for missing, late, or cancellations not made 48 hrs prior. I had an appointment at 10 am but overslept, so I drove down there and tried to talk to him about my situation, but all he cared about was his excessive $195.00 charge! So with my head down and more stress than ever I just left. He smiled as I was leaving though and said "don't you hate policy's " as if it was a joke?? Well, Later The same day I called him back to cancel any future sessions due to the price gouging I had suffered. I also wanted to speak to him to try and explain why I felt the way I did, but he just cut me off and said "don't explain, no need to explain", and would not let me speak. At that point I realized he doesn't care about explanations or reasons behind things,simply because he doesn't care about me or you.. so beware of Michael bailey because all he cares about is getting payed not about what me or you are going through. Michael Bailey is a great therapist who has changed my life profoundly. I have seen other therapists before who just sat there and listened, but they never actually helped me with my issues. That is not the case with Michael, because he has challenged me to improve my life and with his guidance, empowering words, relevant exercises, and insightful understanding he has helped me "see the light".
