I came here prepared to have something not entirely authentic, but open to anything that may be good despite inauthenticity. My review is based on the three dishes I ordered: spring rolls, chicken satay, and pho. The spring rolls were probably the best thing I had. Tasted how you would expect. However, the peanut sauce that had accompanied them was overly sweet. 3.5/5 The satay was RAW. Ate only one full satay skewer because I couldn't eat the rest. 1/5 The most disappointing dish was the pho. The broth lacked depth in flavor and any fragrance characteristic of pho. It was almost as if they didn't try. The portion of noodles was quite small; I finished the noodles in about three bites. The broth is traditionally poured scalding hot over raw meat but instead, it was warm and it took a while for the meat to cook. 1.5/5 Do not recommend. Came in with extremely low standards since I am after all in Mexico City and ordering pho! It met my basic requirements. Probably the worse pho I ever had, but probably one of the best in DF. If you're looking for authenticity this isn't the place...but you probably won't find it in all of DF. It's kinda like looking for authentic tacos in Vietnam. The restaurant itself is small and has a hole-in-the-wall charming feel. It's off the main drag so you can escape the bar crowed and duck in for a drink or two. Price wise this place is pretty expensive, even for La Condesa standards. So if you're stomach was hurting from street tacos and you want soup, it's 11:30pm and the ramen bars are closed...then give them a try. Otherwise skip. read more

Perhaps they had an off day, or maybe I ordered an off dish, but my experience here was definitely unlike most others. I had chicken and veg sautéed in a tamarind sauce with thai basil. First off there was no thai basil. The tamarind sauce was sweet and had little other flavor to it aside form a definite note of something metallic, like it came out of a can. So icky I could not finish it, and that is saying something! Fortunately, the summer rolls were tasty enough that I was able to fill my belly. The green tea was perfectly brewed - be sure to get a pot! My husband really enjoyed his pad thai (I had a bite and did not care for it either, but he says it was among the best he has had). Drinks and food were good but very overpriced. Waitresses were nice.. until my boyfriend's meal didn't come out. Long after my dish came out, we finally asked and realized our waitress had forgotten to put the order in. She disappeared, never apologized. I'm feeling generous so will give two stars for the decent drinks and ambiance. All three dishes we ordered tasted terrible (chicken pad thai, fried rice, wonton soup) and was anything but authentic. This was the worst and most expensive meal we had in Mexico City. I was not expecting fantastic Asian food in Mexico City, but this just wasn't passable. This was my first Thai experience in Mexico and it was very good. The decor is like a 50s or 60s diner. There is outdoor seating and small indoor seating area. The staff was pleasant. I went for a very basic Pad Thai with vegetables and the Veitnamese spring rolls. They were both very good, but they are not the same as to what I am used to. The price is higher than I think it should be, but I think it's because of the location (Condesa). They do not have wifi but they have a smoking section outside and an English menu. read more

Vietnamese food in Mexico . I didn't expect much in the land of tacos but my cousin who left vietnam for over a year were craving for some pho . We loved the chip and salsa ( asian version : rice cracker with 4 choices of sauces). However the spring roll were not good . It tasted cold and uncooked . Not typical spring roll ingredient. While our server was extremely nice, there seemed to be a disconnect in the kitchen. We asked if we could change an appetizer if it had not been prepared and they said they could and then brought us the old appetizer and had to reconfirm with us and the waitress whether we had changed it in time. My meal came first, I ordered the Singapore noodles which do not taste like regular Singapore noodles but we're still good taste wise, just extremely loaded with soy sauce. Then the wrong appetizer arrived and my friend's soup arrived really late as well. I was done with my meal. The plates are small. read more

When the menu has a fusion of Asian items, one starts to wonders about the quality of the food. Have been to many Asian restaurants around the world, and the prices seem very high for basic Asian food. Hence, just ordered the lettuce rolls with vegetables and all we can say - NO FLAVOR. I had high hopes but this place was a bit of a disappointment. The service was great and the ambience was really good. For me, what lacked was the food. The flavors were just off from the starter, "rollos de verano," which lacked basil to the entrees, yellow curry and beef pho. The pho was entirely too, too salty. The high salt content basically killed all the more subtle flavors, like anise or cinnamon. The yellow curry was fine. It was a little sweeter than I usually go for, but it was best tasting dish of the evening. To make matters worse, the place isn't exactly cheap! Again, the service was great and the mood of the place was just right for a late, Friday night dinner. Went there on a Tuesday night to have a beer and some Asian food. The beer was cold and the Asian food was very good! I was amazed at the quality of the food for sure, however, service sucked. When I got there with a friend, we were not greeted or offered a table. In addition, we had to wait quite a while for everything. I know things in Asia go a little slower, but not that slow. I'm always a little skeptical of restaurants that group a lot of cuisines vietnamese/thai/malaysian. But I guess if there's not enough demand to have a restaurant catering to just one it makes sense. I was craving pho and it was the only place I could find. So it was the best pho i had in mexico city. it was good, not great but hit the spot. It also seemed a little pricey since I'm used to getting pho at little whole in the wall spots. If you you have a pho craving go for it. read more
