WHAT A LITTLE GEM!

As we strolled around the area of our hotel, we came across this lovely neighborhood market. Flower stands with freshly cut flowers and an abundance of vegetable crates colored the exterior of the building's grounds.
The enclosed building is made from beautiful glass and metal, with the inside feeling open and airy, making it feel a bit like a greenhouse with its natural lighting.
We found an assortment of shops offering meats, condiments, pastries, baked goods, coffee, fresh seafood, pastas, prepared salads, sushi, lunch spots, cured meats, nuts, beer, wine, fresh herbs, sandwiches, caviar, ice cream, cheeses, housewares and gift items; quite the assortment here!
The only thing that was difficult to find were non-food gifts for our friends that were actually made in Denmark. Most were manufactured overseas.
We stopped and had a wonderful lunch at the very popular Hallernes Smørrebrød, seated at their bar.
This market is definitely worth a visit.
