This is a no-frills bar, hidden outside the plaza mayor in one of the winding alleyways leading out from the main area. It's a cool place to meet friendly locals (hence, the name) without the crawling-with-creepy dudes vibe at the discotecas around the corner.
The best part of mi local is the porrones that they serve all drinks out of. It's a really cool device that is used in Spain to serve drinks that looks like a chemistry beaker with a spout on the side. That was fun to drink from, and even more interesting trying to not spill all over the place after a few drinks :p
They also have outdoor seating here, which is good because the inside is not very big and the few tables that they do have get filled up quickly.
It was a nice spot to come to hang out and feel like a real local of the area for those wanting to avoid the typical touristy bars and such. read more
