My friend recommended Garcia and I texted pictures of my chairs to him for a quote, then went in to the store to confirm he could do the job. This time; however, the experience was completely different. I contacted them in August about recovering two chairs. They wouldn't give me a start date but assured me my furniture would be ready by Thanksgiving which was my requested completion date. I ordered the fabric for recovering and was told it would take approximately 1 week to arrive from the manufacturer. Once the fabric arrived, they would put me on the schedule for completion. I waited two weeks and called to find out the status. I learned then that the fabric was on backorder. No one called me to let me know that. I called again in about another week and fabric not arrived. I realize they are not in charge of their suppliers but they should have let me know about the delays. By now it is late September and I am extremely frustrated and concerned about my chairs not being ready by Thanksgiving because they still have not put me on the schedule to complete the pieces. When I called to express my concerns about this, the man that answered the phone told me to take my business elsewhere because I was too much trouble. I asked him if he really wanted to turn down thousands of dollars worth of business and was told yes. I was dumbfounded. My husband picked up my material when it arrived and I found another reupholsterer who did the job for about 1/2 the cost and not only did they do an excelent job but they got the pieces in early October and they were ready mid-October. I will never use this vendor again and would never recommend them
