This place was a fantastic place to go with the family. The service was just fantastic! We had 3…read morelittle ones with us and the waitress was cheerful and engaged them in a way that helped them enjoy themselves. It was comfortable, the food service was quick and the food and drinks were delicious. The chimichanga, shrimp fajitas and Churrasco were all delicious and generously portioned. The chips and salsa are yummy and may put you in danger of filling up before you get your food. Do get the Queso for your chips it is awesome. This place feels very high end but with a heart of a family restaurant. We'll definitely be back next time we are in the area.

Been about a week since I ate here as I recently take the time to contemplate my review. After…read morethis deliberation, I am ready... The TL;DR version of all this is - the place is very good. Simply can't wait to return. The long version says the following: The location is easy to get too, and the inside of the restaurant is visually appealing. Though I do lean towards the beachy, tropical theme of things, this place does it without being kitschy or tacky. Though I expected the inside to have been wholly remodeled since the last restaurant that was a tenant here - it really had not. Instead, they updated the seating, bar, and outside to their taste - which is good, IMHO. I really liked the use of tablets for their menus. This was novel to me as I had never experienced it until I came here. The tablets worked well and even so, you got a feel for how extensive their menu truly is. Food-wise, there were no complaints around the table. I had their pork bowl which not only comes out hot and fresh, but copious - I just couldn't finish it - they piled on the food with what appeared to be wild abandon. My wife had their fajita plate which was massive. That definitely ended up going home with us. Desserts were their flan which had a flavor I had not expected, maybe not to true style, but definitely rich and delicious. No complaints here. Service was not only friendly but patient with us as we had plenty of questions for being our first time here, but it wasn't as attentive as I would have like. I think the waiter was overstretched in tables, but he still did an overall great job with us. In short, the newest Mexican restaurant in the area represents very well, and we are looking forward to our next trip back, hopefully very soon...

Just got lunch here with my family, We had a very kind server who explained the aspect of the…read morerestaurant and how all their food is made from scratch. I usually don't like heat by sitting outside but their closed off patio was very breathable and the perfect temperature due to the fans, it still did keep the nice outdoor atmosphere though. The food was excellent and was prepared and cooked by people who definitely enjoyed their craft and had knowledge on real Mexican cuisine. If I had to rate this out of 10, I would give it a 20. If you're in the area please try this place if you're craving great real Mexican food.

This place looked good, but ended up being just ok…read more The guacamole, chips, salsa and queso were really good. My enchiladas verdes were just ok. Cojita cheese isn't my favorite. My coke came to my table flat. I told the server about the soda being flat but she didn't seem to understand what I meant and she came back with another flat coke. I took that flat coke inside to the bar and they offered me a sprite. I said if your machine is out of CO2 then it isn't going to make a difference. She said they could just do a sprite so I accepted a flat sprite...lol. Do people not know what makes the fizz in their drinks? My fabric napkin was also damp, like it got washed and didn't dry all the way. When I asked for a new one, no one ever brought it so I stole one from another table. We ordered a dessert and it came out twice. My friend had an alcoholic drink which she said had too many flavors going on and tasted bad. Her next drink she liked. All the waitstaff seemed flustered. I bet this place could be good but it was not their night when my friends and I came.

Fantastic Mexican restaurant. I love hole-in-wall establishments and this one is a winner. Between…read morethe cultural ambiance, the impeccable service and the amazing food. It was perfect. Complimentary chips and salsa too which is becoming more rare by the day! This restaurant is in a small plaza with shared parking. There were plenty of available parking spots on the weeknight we visited.

Mostly Hits *Magic Chicken was good - if you're a local, El Tucan served a slightly better/fresher version of this dish. Still very good and happy to know where to find it locally. *Birria Tacos were good. Less salty than some of the ones we've had on the island, but less flavorful than some too. Right down the middle. *Service makes both lists since we had 2 and they were polar opposites of one another for us on our last visit. Definite Misses *Salsa was meh. Asked for their spicy salsa next and it was also meh. Not horrible, just ok. Chips were firm and less salty than we like. *Margarita...was not a margarita. It was 90% sour mix and a maybe a splash of something. It wasn't on the menu. When asked, we got a weird non-committal response on it from the server and we pretty much got what we expected when a Mountain Dew looking drink arrived in a beer mug with a straw. Might've been a premixed margarita or one of those malt liquor ones (like the cheap Fireball ones). *Service was spotty. We'll probably go back at some point and try some friend recommendations when we do - fingers crossed. We weren't upset with anything we tried, but we weren't wowed either. Lots of local choices to consider....
