I was slightly disappointed at the food. I went for a mozzarella, pesto and roasted vegetables panini, but the pesto appeared to be from a jar and the roasted vegetables were red peppers in brine from a jar. I think I'd have been better sticking to the cakes, which looked delicious. The panini tasted fine, but it just could have been so much better! While we were eating a large school/college crowd came in on their lunch break and sat at one of the large tables, I suspect the cafe is near to the school. It wasn't too noisy, but just meant it got quite busy and there weren't many tables free, if you are looking to visit around that time. Anyway, food aside, the place is very quaint with nice key features around the place making up the decor. From the seating area you can see some rocking chairs which are replicas of historical chairs. Upstairs is a small library with computers to work at and also a section on the history of the area, which I enjoyed reading. Staff were very friendly and one volunteer stood talking to my dad about the area for some time, which was very nice. They also have a small area of things for sale, mostly kitchen items, but they were really nice and I would go back again just to pick up some of their nice tea towels and tote bags.

We got to see the sets of carlas flat, fizz and tyrons house, the platts, the cabin, under world and the rovers. We all got to stand behind the bar and pretend to pull a pint. Out tour guide lee was fantastic. He told us so much about how they film all the different scenes and how the put them together. It was worth the £17pp entry fee. Would recommend to go before it ends in December

Reached easily from Quay Street as you walk down past the Opera House, there's the main studios which are huge plus a large outdoors space. It's becoming a really useful space for all sorts of events that have maybe run out of room in other locations and the indoor event 'Buy Art fair' was fantastic here - plus the outdoors has markets and foodie events like Guerilla Eats on - perfect for the large car parking space. Keep an eye out for future events and you'll know how to get here now! Supposedly there's also loads of office space with every tech company under the sun and loads of other similar creative peeps starting to take it up as a new home. The beauty of Manchester is that even though we've progressed so much with making this city even more awesome, there's still thousands of brown field sites and old venues that are being reinvented as new and cool spaces - long may it continue!

However this year I had to reconsider as none of my friends were available to take my belongings this year. After comparing local storage unit prices I found GRG Storage and not only were their prices affordable they were also nearby and just five minutes away from my university accommodation. I decided to give them a try and leave my belongings for the summer. I have to say that I was impressed by the quality and affordable prices I was offered. Using my friends to store my stuff is good however now I can take the hassle off their shoulders just simply by using GRG Storage for summer storage solutions. It is an easy and reliable service offered at great competitive prices just minutes away from the University of Salford! I highly recommend this as my proffered storage provider for my fellow students at the University of Salford!

I rented office space in the Queensway Business Centre for a year in 2007. I chose it because it…read morewas well located, spacious, secure and cheap. They have various sized offices, but the standard one is about 10m long and 4m wide. For this I think I paid in the region of around £400 a month although there are sometimes discounts available. My office was very basic - just a shell, but I had the advantage of my own access doors to the outside. There was also a security grille at the rear doors, so I could be sure my stock was safe. There is CCTV monitoring anyway, and they're fairly good at keeping an eye on the place - we were questioned several times when arriving late at night or over the weekend. There is a large communal area and a shared meeting room which you don't have to pay to use - I never did use it and it didn't seem to be in too much demand so I wouldn't be surprised if it got changed into more rental space. There are a couple of kitchens which are very basic and not the cleanest, but they serve a purpose and we only used it for washing dishes as we kept a microwave in the unit. The offices aren't luxurious, but basic. We just had cream painted breezeblock walls and rather manky carpet tiles to the floor. The heating wasn't great - old storage heaters, so we brought our own in. There were quite a lot of spiders and woodlice who seemed to appear out of nowhere however much we cleaned! Most annoying thing for me was the pollution -being right across the road from the steelworks, there was all sorts of mess coming in if I left the doors open for ventilation. The staff at the office next door also used to stand right outside to smoke which was really annoying as it came straight in our door - doesn't sound like much but on a daily basis it was quite annoying and a large part of the reason I gave the unit up in the end. If you're looking for office space though, it's well worth considering as it is a lot of space for your money and you don't have to worry about the building maintenance.
