They have taken my case with the up most respect. I would like to personally thank all the officers who took on my case. Mainly Richard Mottran. (I hope I spelt the name correct :/ ). Who helped me and I felt safe. THANK YOU!!!!! I would recommend this station to anyone I know. I respect all officers as they put their life on the line to save people like us. I also believe they don't get appreciated enough.

Berkhamsted Police station is ideally situated right in the centre of town making it an easy place…read moreto visit. It serves more of a station within which the Police work rather than a public building for visit. There are fairly limited opening hours that should be observed before planning a trip to the station. There are no cells in use either, with the nearest large police station in Hemel. When the station is open a civilian member of staff mans the desk, who is always helpful and able to point you in the right direction or take details or information and get you in touch with a police officer.

I've ocassionally seen police cars wisking a caught bunny away through the back doors. Its all a bit dramatic passing by the quarters. Horrible service! After weeks of calling them with help over…read morea theft. I took it upon myself to do ALL the leg work and find ALL the information they should have gathered themselves. Even after finidng everything that's needed on my own and handing everything to them they PROMISED to get back in touch with me within two weeks.. and well what do you think they did? Nothing. Absolutely nothing. Horrible, horrible service. They don't even sound sympathetic over the phone. They feed you lies of apparent work they did (which they of course haven't done), and won't even cooperate when I gave them every single detail needed for them to finalize their search. Rubbish.

A poor relation to the Metropolitan Police…read more The Met gets the better candidates as the pay is a lot better and is close by and the work is rich and varied. TVP end up with unmotivated staff who dislike the public but have to do something after dropping out or failing from their chosen vocations. My experience of them has been in domestic incidents and on the streets. I have found them to be very aggresive and performance targets related. Don't look for sympathy from them, they are motivated only by issuing fines, PNDs, warnings, tickets of any sorts and a policy of "Positive Intervention", which means if there is a report of a domestic incident, the man is automatically arrested and spends 12 hours in a police cell, even if he has done nothing wrong. Other then that they declair dodgy overtime and drive around in expensive motors meeting the ethnic minorities and doing bugger all else wise.
