We had nothing but good experiences here and highly recommend it. The teachers are very patient with the children, older children help younger children settle into routines, and the school even helps with potty training when the time comes. When our daughter started Kindergarten at the local elementary school, we found she was far beyond her classmates in math. This school prepared her well. Your child will take time to settle into the new environment. It took my oldest nearly six weeks. The school will work with you, so be patient and don't blame the school if your child isn't ready.

What I got instead was several weeks of back and fourth emails, and a check that was finally recieved via snail mail aka USPS. I thought: "FINALLY", cause... hey, we're talking a little over $1,800. I go to deposit it and lo and behold.. IT'S NOT SIGNED. Yes, seriously, they sent me an unsigned check. From there, I went back to the email thread, going back and forth a million times with accounting and random people who never introduced themselves. An aggressive email from a random staff member named Patricia, who never introduced herself or her role in the whole situation. I didn't receive any phone calls, no apology, no accountability. Weeks go by, and I don't receive another check, so I filed a dispute with my bank after attempting to resolve this for over a month. Guess what? I finally heard back from accounting. They tried to get me to cancel my dispute so that they could issue a check again. I said nope! Thankfully, a week or so later, my bank was able to refund me the entire amount after literally faxing them our email thread and the unsigned check. Please do not bring yourself or your children here. The staff here is unprofessional and incompetent and needs to brush up on their customer service. Avoid. At. All. Costs.

Both of my daughters have attended this school for preschool. I was extremely nervous at first…read morebecause I hardly let ANYONE watch them and if I do it's at MY house (where we have cameras inside cause I'm crazy protective). This school was placed closed to where I worked and also close to other family in case of emergency which made me wiling to give it a shot. 3 years later, I don't work there anymore however my child still attended for another year even though we moved on the complete opposite side of town because she loved this school so much. I'm so happy I let them take my children for their first few years because they are way OVER prepared for school now. My oldest in first grade now is extremely intelligent and further along than majority of her classmates. She excels at just about everything, and it's the school that did this, not me. I decided to keep her there instead of going to TK so that she could be with her sister one more year and go straight to kindergarten and I'm happy I did. So she skipped TK but was still at the top of her kindergarten class because of this place. My youngest whom just started TK today was again BEYOND prepared and so excited for class. There were SEVERAL students crying, kicking, trying to run out and screaming in the TK classroom at her new school because they were not ever introduced to this type of environment possibly. My daughter walked in confidently, found her name and was able to hang her stuff up by herself and sit down. She even said "I love it here" meanwhile kids were having the worst day of their life. If it weren't for this preschool I know we would have been one of those struggling parents and children as well. If I had not had my older child already in first grade I would have opted to keep my youngest at this preschool instead of TK because of how great my child was doing and how much she loved it. Both children have moved on as of this year now however they wouldn't be as well prepared as they were if it weren't for this awesome school! Sometimes my oldest still tells me things like "I miss the tacos from preschool".... Apparently they make good food for lunch too for the kids and I can't replicate it it's been 2 years come on, my tacos are good too. They also utilize an app that lets you communicate with teachers and they post pictures from their days or fun activities which is such a nice thing to get notified to in the middle of work. Will recommend this school always moving forward!!! They also have the cutest graduations at the end of the year for the oldest kids moving on.

I was looking for reliability and they most definitely provide that. They're hours are 7am to 6pm. They use classroom dojo to communicate with you throughout the day and answer almost immediately if you have concerns and questions. I only gave a four because it makes me nervous that there is not a stronger security system to get inside. You don't enter a code or anything to enter. So just a personal preference and insecurity on my end. Definitely recommend this place to EVERYBODY.

I researched a handful of preschools in Modesto to enroll my 4 year old. I wanted structure and some curriculum taught and not just a full day of playtime. What I liked most about Magnolia was is wasn't on a main road with fast traffic, the play yard was on the backside of the school and they had a structured day. My daughter was over the moon excited to start school so I was happy they had room for us to enroll. I decided on 3 days a week so she wasn't overwhelmed but after her first week things changed quickly. She was anxious to go to school, she would throw full tantrums in the morning to get ready, she was regressing on her potty training and having multiple accidents at school. Complete opposite of her normal behavior. At first, I expected this, it's a new routine, there's a period of adjustment and many kids experience it. By the end of week 3, I was having serious mom guilt. She had completely broke down one morning when we pulled into the parking lot. It was like sheer fear had overcome her and she begged me not to leave her and to take her home. I spoke with her teachers and the Director and although they said she was doing fine, I wasn't convinced. The Director of the preschool is quite young and I tried not let that cloud my judgement of her ability to run the school, however it was what she said when I brought up my daughter's behavior that made me realize this was not going to work... I expressed to her my concerns and that my daughter would say the kids were mean. She said that she had not witnessed any mean treatment but does encourage the kids to tell the teachers if that comes up. She then went on to say that many of the kids there had been enrolled for a while and had become friends and tend to have their little cliques. Cliques at 3 and 4 years old?? No. This did not sit well with me and I was surprised that she not only knew of this behavior among the kids but that it was accepted and no one was trying to encourage these kids to play together and make friends with everyone. I'll say it again, 3 and 4 years old! Needless to say, I pulled my daughter out that day and we didn't return. That is not the kind of community or culture I want my daughter in. We do not do "Mean Girls" at 4 years old and I'm not raising my daughter to dismiss new people, or encourage her to make anyone feel out of place and preschool was the last place I expected her to experience that.

Now that we are nearly a year removed from the program, the positive impact on my child's development is even more apparent. The hallmark of our experience was the relationship with the administration. While there were naturally moments over the years where I had concerns or disagreed with a specific situation, I never once felt unheard. The leadership team always prioritized sitting down with me to listen and address my feedback. Even when the solutions weren't exactly what I had envisioned, the transparency and respect they showed ensured that my perspective was always valued. Watching my child flourish in the environment they've cultivated was a joy. My only constructive critique would be the lunch program; while relying on the provided options was occasionally a challenge, and my child sometimes came home hungry. However, the staff was always attentive to this--they provided appealing snacks and allowed as many helpings as needed to ensure no child was left wanting. I would have prefered to be able to provide a home made lunch that respected the no-peanut policy. I am grateful for the care, the communication, and the community Childtime provided our family for over half a decade.

I rarely leave reviews, but families deserve transparency. My family has been with this center for…read moreover three years, and the decline has been noticeable especially following recent corporate changes and inconsistency at that level. This facility markets itself as a "learning center", but it is increasingly operating like a daycare without the consistency and structure you would expect for the cost. Ongoing staffing shortages have created unreliable care, including last minute capacity limits that result in families being turned away. The core issue appears to be how staff are treated and to be clear, this is not a reflection of the on site team, but a corporate level problem. Teachers seem overworked, under supported, and underpaid, which creates an unsustainable environment. This not only impacts the children, but also leads to high staff turnover and a lack of consistency in care. Families are paying premium rates, but the investment in staffing does not reflect that. Until there are meaningful changes at the corporate level to support and retain qualified teachers, I cannot recommend this center.
