I flew out of here to Rota, Spain. Since we were flying Space-A we had a show time of 4 p.m. and we were told the day before that there was plenty of room to get on. The flight didn't leave until 7 p.m. so yes it's a lot of waiting. We showed up at around 4:30. No lines upon check-in. We checked our luggage and were given a boarding pass. The staff here is fabulous, courteous, helpful and very professional. They're Italian so they love kids. Children are treated so well here. I will miss that so much. As soon as we were stateside, I noticed airport staff and one Southwest idiot flight attendant who was so rude to my kids-I don't understand the culture here in the U.S.-of thinking kids are such a nuisance. I know all my mommy and daddy Yelp friends can concur that none of us want our children to be treated like second class citizens. Oh, well, another reason to want to go back to Italy! A pizzeria and coffee shop are here to eat while you wait.

I took the fabulous cooking class there, which was my highlight of our week long trip to Sicily! I was taught several traditional Sicilian dishes, then that evening we dined out on the lawn enjoying the dishes I had made that day! Simply Splendid dining experience, very rustic, very romantic! Breakfast is so authentic & delicious- their homemade marmalades, Mama's wonderful fruit tart, breads & cheeses! Agriturismo San Leonardello is in a rural area, away from the tourist of Taormina & Siracusa. A little pathway behind Agriturismo San Leonardello will take you to a small bar "Blue Ice" for granita, espresso & prosecco, also a small fruit market, that's it! But we loved it! I highly recommend staying at Agriturismo San Leonardello if you want a quiet, authentic Sicilian experience!
