Must be nice he has so much business that he can be rude to people. I called the school to schedule with someone else and got no call back response. I called back again & spoke with a girl who obviously didn't know why she was answering the phone because she asked me what I needed two times after I stated it already. They couldn't tell me who the massage was going to be w/or explain to me why she couldn't tell me. Very unprofessional. The $20-$25 you pay for a massage is what you get.... Not going back.

I'm not one to be quickly offended, but paying 400 bucks for a class, I expect respectful and comfortable accommodations. The instructor was clear and passionate about safety, though the curriculum was questionable at times...yes, we did watch train videos for an hour, as other reviewers said. What I didn't appreciate was that the in-person class was constantly begging for positive reviews; they even passed out a QR code to scan to give a review right then and there! I would end my review here, but we need to talk about the "instructor driving lessons". DO NOT GO TO THIS SCHOOL IF YOU DON'T ALREADY KNOW HOW TO DRIVE OR PROPERLY HANDLE A VEHICLE!!!!! My instructor picked me up at home, drove us into downtown, and I was instructed to get into the driver's seat. I made sure to tell the school and the instructor I don't know how to drive and this would be my first experience behind the wheel. This instructor did not care. We did about 20 minutes of driving where the only instruction I received was quick yells and an occasional wheel snatch, because, newsflash, I don't know how to drive! Then we headed out on some back roads, where the instruction was quickly cut short by the instructor getting a phone call and ignoring me. I was quite literally flying by the seat of my pants. After nearly 40 minutes of the instructor giving me vague instructions because they were too distracted by their phone to properly teach me, I noticed a pattern. They would not allow me to slow down by taking my foot off the gas for stops or pressing the brakes. Each time I approached a stop sign or light, they would tell me to keep going until I was basically running each one and had to slam on the brakes, which would, in turn, cause them to start yelling at me again. I don't know where this instructor learned to teach, but not allowing a new driver to naturally come to a stop and then screaming at them isn't an effective teaching method. After 90 minutes of driving the back roads, we got onto rural highways- those types of highways where there's nothing but banking curves and quick turns, yeah, those highways. I somehow finished it without flipping the car because, you know, as I said earlier, I wasn't allowed to take my foot off the gas or tap the brakes, even when going 65 mph downhill on a curve. This circuit was terrifying; I never thought my driving lesson would involve me careening through Kansas back roads when I still didn't know how to park, parallel park, merge, or reverse... I was just told to go 80 mph on a highway. I prayed every prayer imaginable for my 3-and-a-half-hour driving "lesson", and I guess some deity out there listened as we returned safely back into town. My instructor had me pull into a gas station to fuel up. While I waited for them, they asked me some tech questions, which I naturally answered, thinking it was just small talk...until they pulled out a clipboard and gave me my yellow completion slip for "helping them out," and said that I completed the program. MIND YOU, ALL THE INSTRUCTOR DID WAS TURN ME LOOSE ON THE ROAD WITH LITTLE TO NO GUIDANCE. How in the world does that make me qualified to operate a vehicle legally? I still don't know basic, and I mean basic driving; I never reversed, merged, or pulled into the intersection for a left turn- just very basic skills that were passed on. And the fact that their website advertises 6 driving hours and I only got half of that makes me truly feel cheated. I'm out of 400 bucks, and I still don't know how to drive.

I can't believe how far I've progressed and I give them great credit for keeping me going, including with some rather challenging pieces. Extremely disappointed with Keys of Joy in Lawrence…read more We experienced multiple issues with their scheduling and communication. On one occasion, our class was canceled with only 20 minutes' notice. Another time, we arrived to find the session had been double-booked. When we voiced our concerns, we were told make-up sessions could take weeks to schedule, and eventually, they told us they were too busy to continue providing service altogether. At this point, they still owe us three make-up sessions that were never honored. We've had great experiences with other kids' programs in Lawrence--gymnastics, soccer, karate, and art--but this was by far the most unprofessional. Unfortunately, I can't recommend Keys of Joy to other families.
