Two years ago we purchased a deer blind and a chicken coop and haven't had a problem with either of them. Last month we purchased a 12 x 28 cabin, not only did we get a good deal, but the delivery was prompt and they placed our cabin perfectly on its blocks. The employees didn't come off real friendly at first, but I pulled up in a Porsche truck, hopped out with UGG boots, a Glock on my hip, and running shorts. That's not the normal vibe for this area. The place has everything you could need in the area, and some great prices on some great looking meat. I don't eat it, so can't speak to quality, but looked like some nice pieces. Prices a bit high on normal sundries, bit ragged place, and some things with mega long shelf lives were close. Parmesan cheese has a huge shelf life, and theirs wasn't too far off. So this is the best place around here! I recommend it! But it's an average to subpar experience when it's not the ONLY place to go. Heck, their chicken foot taxidermy is almost worth another star. The minute you walk in you're going to be hungry, even if you just ate. The house smoked and cured meats can literally be smelled in the parking lot. DGS has everything from local North Michigan specialities to fresh produce and an array of MI butchery products. The star of the show however is all their house made meats... Sausages, brats, jerky, etc., DSG has it all. Plus the staff is super friendly and helpful... Some of the friendliest people we've met in a while. When we're in the Cadillac area again, we will no doubt make a point to get back to DGS to stock up... Two thumbs up.

I'm giving the store three instead of five stars because 1) they need to do a better job with overall cleaning, as the place often has an almost foul odor, and 2) I'm disappointed by the lack of deli options (fried chicken versus actual deli items), movie selections (too few/outdated), and bottled water (in a place with lots of well water).
