While at this school my daughter flourished and was in the Junior Honors Society. She then was put through more inane manipulations sent to Highland High School and became agitated and hated going there. She was picked on by a certain religion that she did not belong to and the staff was completely incompetent. Add to this a HORRIBLE, NASTY and mean math teacher that is STILL THERE and it was a really bad year. I made the choice to move her to Gilbert High School and guess what? 4.0 average, got student of the month one month and is once again flourishing. I hate Gilbert School district for their apathy in dealing with horrible teachers. I applaud the staff at Gilbert that can do so well in a district that is so inept and so corrupt. They came in to pickup the donation and refused to issue a receipt, so the donation was not issued. As a revenge tactic Wade Baize leaves a 1 star review because he is so upset that, per policy, I cannot issue the donation without a receipt. How embarrassing for the school that a faculty member trashes a small local business that was willing to help. Wade Baize should be ashamed of himself. The entitlement is off the charts. My associate watched as I explained to him the requirements over and over and refutes his claims I was "rude" do not offer donations to this school if you value your sanity and business as Wade Baize will try and tear it down.

My home away from home! When I'm here getting my tennis game on, it feels just like home! There are…read more10 tennis courts, so no waiting in line to play here! Well, almost no waiting. It's safest to go after school hours for a no fuss, no wait experience. The courts are in pretty good shape. The nets on a few courts could use some adjusting or maintenance, and the lighting could definitely use an upgrade, but I guess new tennis court lights are just not in the budget this year. I'm not exactly sure when lights out occur, but the lights have always been on while I'm playing. 11:30pm was the latest I've ever stayed and the lights were still on at that time! Everything is very political now. Parents aren't allowed on campus unless they are part of the P3 club. But a lot of parents work and don't have time to dedicate to the club. Someone who is barely started the school this school year is the president of the club. She has no idea what she is doing, she is badmouthing a lot of the other parents, doesn't know most of the students. I don't think Yvonne understands that so many parents are not being a part of the club because of this single woman. Yvonne is also one of the rudest women I've ever come across. Someone who should not be working with special needs children. And has a consistent bad attitude with parents. Or any child. A lot of the parents are in the works of speaking to other campuses about transferring. And we are all giving notes about other appropriate schools where the children and all their parents come first. The three stars that I left, not for the higher-ups not for the P3 club, it's for the teachers! The teaching staff is amazing and kind and caring and goes above and beyond. And for Mr Dilly! he always treats Parents with respect he is kind and caring, always roaming the school, checking on the kids and the staff. They have given great thought to making sure that the parents are involved in every single assignment and preparing for tests. If your child drops a grade level you are notified via the school application, email and phone call. Parents, gone are the days of asking your children do you have homework? What assignments are due? Because you can now look that up. We have a white boards in the hallway with the assignments and when they're due and how much grade is weighted on each one. There are no more surprises of I didn't know this was due. All of the teachers are insightful and dedicated. Some are a bit dry, some are a little stiff but overall if they weren't good at their job they wouldn't be there. I get the feeling that the Higley School district does not embrace a teacher's tenure over their quality. All of the teachers offer tutoring you just have to work around their schedule. The school has many clubs and sports for young people to get involved in. The homecoming football game that I attended the kids were well-behaved respectful and had a wonderful time. I also love that RCS uses a faith-based approach in almost all lessons, not just Bible. Faith is weaved into social studies, science, phonics, recitation, and more.
