The class has a lovely friendly atmosphere. Once a month Terry runs a Friday evening social for charity and people come from all over the Wirral. He always has live music for this social, with different groups or singers and a super raffle. Check his website for the dates. The time is 7.30pm until 11pm. Once a year he runs a line dance weekend with caravans arriving on the Wirral from all over England.

In actual fact, it's an all singing, all dancing facility where students are encouraged to live out their Glee and Fame fantasies! Built in 1825, the building was originally used as a school for boys with past students including Paul McCartney and George Harrison. Hearing the building was empty and neglected in the late eighties, McCartney joined forces with entepeneur and Brit School founder Mark Featherstone-Witty to regenerate and re-open the building as a higher education facility for creatives. After a seven year struggle and mulit-million pound investment, the doors open in 1996 offering students diplomas, degrees and post-graduate programmes in everything from Performing Arts, Music, Dance and Sound Technology to Entertainment Management and Theatre and Performance Design. I've never studied at LIPA personally but if I was in my teens, I might aspire to. Alongside regular classes, there are masterclasses and Q&A sessions with industry veterans and musicians. I must say, this place breeds talent on a huge scale and I'd never lived amongst such a great group of people before. What's more is they all spoke highly of LIPA and all that it has to offer. LIPA has a huge success rate and many affiliations across the performance industry. It offers classes in singer/song writing, music management, performance, community performance, dance, acting and a wealth of interlinked modules. It's an expensive place to study and can be a hard place to get into due to the amount of applications that the institute receives each year.. But it's a great place, a really sound place (Excuse the pun). LIPA students have a great social community and I was proud to be a part of it as I met some fantastic and talented people from all corners of the globe!

There are different concessions at the pool, there is always activities for everybody on a particular day, although you do need to check the times as these can be subject to change during school times. Also the school has a large public gymn that has all the latest in technology and sports equipment. Although the gym is within school grounds you wouldn't know - it be quite easily be one of your more expensive gyms. All staff here have to be trained to the highest in the area that they are supervising so don't be put off that they may be school students - there not they just look young. Everybody here seems happy in what they are doing and although you are there for a purpose there is a relaxed atmosphere for a gym.

The clubs available are rather unlike most schools in the area which offer football/netball, Waterloo offer ballet classes for years one and two, rugby, fencing and basketball. There is excellent pastoral support, which again is well reputed and the school is very active in the community. I don't believe it's one of the "big name" schools of the area, i.e. high profile, but I'm not sure why, it sounds fantastic.

I know 4 children who attend at the minute and 2 that have left…read more The teachers are just fab, one of my god daughters has learning problems and they are more that great at accomodating her needs. they have a zero tolorence attitude to bullying and is a great place for children to grow into happy teenagers. The building itself is beautiful as is the playground it has a pencil fence which is very cute for the kiddies.They also have a nursery attached to the school so its easier to feed children from there.
