Ionically, the visit left me with a lingering & longing to go back some day for myself. Perhaps it's the aqua painted building?Or maybe the neon lights? Or even the ultra-chill Irish Wolfhound Charlie? All have endeared me to "7th Street." But, now I know it's the whole shebang that creates such a magic show! Angela, whose family has owned and operated the business since 1998, also visits the retail store I help to manage, as does Jess, the specialist who has done my piercings. We have become nicely acquainted and it's all just the coolest! You know the person you encounter out-and-about, the one that just has a uber-cool vibe that you can't just purchase somewhere? Now my friend has a lip piercing that only cost her about 60 bucks so why was my ears 87? Maybe it was because of the jewelry I got but I didn't get to choose it and matter of fact he charged me the 87 before I even got to think about choosing it. Again, the guy was super sweet but no way in hell should I have paid 87 dollars to get my ears pierced...I recommend going to Claire's instead.

The dude (can't remember his name. he's the one on the commercials, the one with the long dark hair, and beard. you know, the sleezy looking one. yeah, him), came out and asked me twice what i wanted. I'm pretty sure he was high af. I'm positive of it. His reaction time was slightly delayed, tell tale symptom of being stoned... But, I didn't listen to that little voice and let him pierce me anyway. The shop seemed clean enough. Went to the little back room, and we small talked for a little while. I should've been watching him, but I wasn't. I wanted to put myself at ease by playing an game on my phone as he prepped. He did my cartilage first. I wanted the placement to be less near the ridge of my ear and more near the center. He drew a dot and showed me. We went back and forth a little bit, but I just decided to trust the man. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath. I heard a loud snap. This guy used a piercing gun...on my cartilage!!! I was shocked. Any professional shop knows piercing guns are sins and to always use needles to avoid excess trauma. I looked in the mirror and he didn't even pierce it on the dot at all! I asked for a refund on the tragus because i did not want it to be done with a gun, nor did I want it misplaced. He said I couldn't get a refund, but assured me that he would use a needle...and he did. But the problem was, the jewelry. It did not come from a sterile package. He pulled it out of one of those bulk earring displays. I just couldn't win that night. I left with blood dripping down my ear from the tragus. Luckily for me, my piercing are healing just fine despite the bs. He hugged me and thanked me, and followed me out to my car which was little weird, but yeah...

As if me asking how to put a new piercing in was weird. She generally seemed like she either didn't want to be at work today or just didn't want to work on me. Not a horrible experience but as a person of color, I felt that they weren't very inviting so I won't be going here again.

Been thinking about a septum for a few months and finally decided to get it. We didn't call ahead,…read morejust got there as soon as it opened on a Tuesday. A girl with blue hair and glasses let the piercer know, and a guy came out and said he wanted to check my nose first to see if I could get one. With gloves, he checked my nose to make sure I didn't have a deviated septum. He gave the go ahead and the girl at the front went ahead and had me fill out the paperwork and pay, $50. Dave the stabber, the resident piercer there, went ahead and started getting everything ready. He made sure he had the right jewelry as well before having me sit or anything. He was great, making me feel comfortable and lightening the mood in case I was nervous. I have snakebites, but didn't know about piercing my septum. He had me lay down, which I was kinda glad since my husband was sitting up when he got his done (back in ca). He was very careful about getting his Mark's right where he wanted them and that they were lined up. When he was ready to pierce me, he let me know he was going to have me take a few deep breaths, and on the last big exhale he would pierce. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. He went over the care information and if I needed anything else, or if anything happened, to come back so he could fix or patch me up if needed. I recommend seeing Dave the Stabber! Go check him out if you want more holes. Found out later he also travels to Cabot to pierce to help since there's no piercer at Panther Tattoo.
