James was the only person at this branch that was able to help me out. I was frustrated by calling an 1-877 number that was listed on the back of the card and also on the website. No one was able to help me out. He listened, he took down my information and he said that he would call me back in a bit. Not more than 15 minutes later, I received a call back from James who provided me with great news. Again, the only person who could help me after being on several phone calls, on hold and many transfers, etc. He is the hero of this branch! James you deserve a promotion brother. My husband is a member, every time he goes the service is great very friendly staff, last week he went to make his car payment and was helped by James Newson he was very knowledgeable about the different services and gave my husband an offer to get a credit card without pressure my husband applied and was approved, James thank you for your service and knowledge. read more

Don't often come into this branch as it's a little further from where I live. But since I was in the area, I decided to take care of a few things, was assisted by the young lady Maria. She greeted me and took care of my needs, and since I was already there, I had asked her if she could help me with my online banking as I've been having issues with logging in. She was able to help me get access within a few minutes. She also spoke to me about a promotional credit card, something that I might consider doing. Overall, my experience was quick and pleasant. I've been a member at Meriwest since 1999 and I'm so happy there's a branch close by. I remember when the closest branch was at Moffett Field. I bank at a large bank as well, but Meriwest will always be special to me. It's nice to go somewhere that the employees recognize you in this day and age. Very difficult to get a hold of as there is no direct line. I have been trying to close a line of credit for nearly a month now and have been ghosted by the representative who had been helping me. Meriwest definitely does not care about customers who actually want to use their bank as a bank. I've been a customer for over 25 years and I'm ready to move to a new credit union. read more

Great service from the start. I walked in with a problem, a new area resident from Oregon. My old credit union has no locations in the bay and was not a part of any shared branch program. When I got there, I was greeted by James Newson who I then explained my problem to. We spoke through some options and I ended up deciding becoming a credit union member was my best option. Quickly I realized the fantastic services Meriwest has to offer: cheap startup costs, great savings returns, 2% checking returns, and more. James especially did a great job helping me set up the correct accounts, while also chatting with me and giving great recommendations on places to check out as a new resident in the area. They replaced the perfectly functioning bill pay system with a new bill pay system. The new system is severely flawed and now I don't receive bills from the bank or the billers. I've been with them since the 80's when it was IBM credit union. Good-bye Meriwest. I will close my account as soon as I set up a new bank read more

"A fresh, improved digital banking experience is ready for you!". That is: you will be unable to access your account online because of a failure to implement proper 2FA; you will spend an hour a day for a week trying to fix this by sitting on hold listening to inane messages about how you could save time by using online banking; you will visit a branch before work only to find that the hours have ben reduced (now 10-4 for maximum inconvenience for anyone who actually works); you will take the morning off work to visit the branch again and be assured that the problem can only been fixed by, get this, using someone else's phone for the 2FA (yes, really), only to return home to discover that even this workaround has not been implemented. "We've Built a Better Digital Banking Experience". But I'll just have to take their word for it, because I no longer have access to online banking with Meriwest. Time to switch back to a real bank. read more

Tried to call this bank. I was on hold for over 15 mins and then the phone hung up. As far as I can tell, they do not answer their phone. The branch manager, Emil, phoned us and let us know there was a glitch in the system that has since been fixed. read more

On a customer service level, the staff at Meriwest have gone way above and beyond what I was expecting. From the manager, Marc, who is always so friendly and sweet and helpful, to the young lady that established our accounts and helped us get started with a credit card, I am more than happy with this branch and this credit union! Great location close to my home, easy to find parking right in front, beautiful building with such a warm and well designed interior....from the lovely painted walls to the elegant brand new furnishings, this place feels welcoming. I have never had to wait in line longer than a few minutes, and they even have a TV and game type activities for the kids. read more

I did not have a good experience! I stood in line, and when it was my turn I told her I need to access share branching and she was rude! She told me I had to fill out a form and stand back in line!! I couldn't believe this as I was on lunch break and ready to move quickly! So it took me 2 seconds (literally) to fill it out, stood back in line and waited another 10 mins while the teller and other customers we taking their sweet time! I watched one of the customers in front of me leave because this teller was taking too long! I explained to the teller it was my first time and she didn't welcome me, all she said is "fill out the form and come back" Well I won't be coming back! One star because it was clean inside.
