We were visiting Luneburg and found "Merhaba" using Google maps. After walking into the empty place (on a weekday, early afternoon), I tried starting a friendly conversation with the man wearing the black-rimmed glasses behind the counter. The conversation went something like this: Me: "Lots of great options! What's the difference between the "standard Doner Kebap" and the "Vegetable Doener Kebap with meat"? Answer from the man with glasses: "What it says on the sign". WTF? I can read, thank you very much. Zero points in the customer service department for you, my friend. read more

I don't know what the other contributors here are talking about. This place has lots of room for improvement. I have eaten here a few times because it was convenient. The bread tastes stale and has a weird texture. The meat has almost no flavor at all. Also, there is a tiny sign on the wall next to the window next to the meat spit. It says something like, "Fleisch nach Dönerart." That means this is imitation Döner meat, probably made of various meat scraps mixed with spices and who knows what else, pressed together into a big meat drum. Avoid. read more

Finally, Turkish food that's not döner!…read more We had to go to Ikea and instead of having Swedish meatballs like we always do when we go to Ikea, we decided to venture out a bit. With a little help from Yelp, we found Köz Urfa. I'm thinking I will find more occasions to go to Ikea now because of this delightful Turkish restaurant. This restaurant is HUGE! And there's a cave area for more intimate dining. We arrived a little after 5pm, so the place wasn't very full up. The various kebaps are neatly displayed in large refrigerated glass cases. The dining room was bright and clean, and the staff is super inviting and friendly. I ordered the Urfa kebap while the hubby ordered the Adana kebap. I believe the difference was his was spicy and mine was not. For 11€ per plate, you get a lot of food. The meat is laid on top of a half and half bulgar and rice. You also get like 5 different sides and some grilled veggies, as well as a side of flatbread. I was not able to finish my plate, but I guess next time I'll come hungrier. I'm very much looking forward to coming back. There are so many dishes to try, plus all the dessert!

Das Merhaba ist einer der besten Dönerläden in Lüneburg! Wenn ich mal in Lüneburg bin und Lust auf einen Döner habe ist das Merhaba auf jedenfall Pflicht. Ein guter Döner beginnt mit einem leckeren Brot und das hier ist richtig lecker. Die restlichen Zutaten sind frisch und es gibt eine Auswahl an verschiedenen Soßen. Wer keine Lust auf Döner hat findet mit Sicherheit was anderes auf der Karte. Einziger Kritikpunkt, es gibt trotz Umzug und Renovierung nur eine sehr begrenzte Anzahl an Sitzplätzen. Es ist halt mehr ein Schnellimbiss. Aber diesen Kritikpunkt macht das Team mit seiner zuvorkommenden Art und Freundlichkeit wieder weg. Was vielleicht für den einen oder anderen wichtig ist. Es wird sehr auf Sauberkeit geachtet und die wenigen Tische werden regelmäßig abgewischt. Macht weiter so!!! read more

Bester Dürüm in der Stadt! Weil ich so begeistert vom Dürüm bin hab ich noch nichts anderes probiert.... Als nächstes ist auf jeden Fall mal ein Döner dran! Generell ist es dort super sauber, und die Mitarbeiter sind sehr freundlich! Echt top! Zum Dürüm und mit Sicherheit auch zum Döner gibts 4 oder 5 Versch. Absolutely fantastic! This is the first place I stop at when I am in town! I live in Miami and have not found anywhere in the states that serves such a tasty Doner. They are open on Sunday's contrary to what Yelp says. If you are in Luneburg stop by, you won't be disappointed! read more

Für mich persönlich der beste Doenerman in Lueneburg. Immer frisch und reichlich! Bei grossem Appetit empfehle ich zwei Minidoener und jeder Hunger ist gestillt. Probiert dort auch die Salate, wie alles andere auch sehr lecker. read more
