Hotel has a good location if your business is in the area. I have to be in Faria Lima and Vila Madalena, and both are in walking distance (although Vila Madalena is very hilly, so I usually get a cab) which sometimes is faster than traffic. The Clinicas metro station is a fairly short walk away also.
Hotel has a nice pool and a small area to sit outside by the pool. The exercise room is small, but two treadmills and two bikes (one currently broken) exist, and there's a bosu ball and some free weights. There's also a warm sauna.
Laundry service is good, but expensive.
My room was pretty large for Sao Paulo standards--a living area and separate bedroom. It's surprisingly quiet in the bedroom, too.
Hotel restaurant has morning breakfast buffets with a fairly good selection (tropical fruits and juices, eggs, bacon, breads, cheeses, tarts and sausages usually). I've tried dinner a few times, too, and they do a pretty good job (currently a Menu Primavera prix fixe), but with many restaurants nearby within walking distance, I haven't been too impressed.
The internet Wi-Fi is unacceptable (0.01 Mbps upload speed), making work impossible if you return back to the hotel and want to send some emails. The hotel's response has been poor. Better to get a local SIM card and tether out internet on your smart phone!
Had it not been for the lousy internet, I'd have upped the review to 4 stars.. read more
