I called 911 and we got an officer to meet us at the store to review footage immediately. We weren't able to find any good leads at first but Ace said they would call us if they were able to track the credit card information. We went home and within an hour officer H. Duncan got the credit card info, went to the thief's house and found my phone. He was able to meet us at the store to return it. Phone stolen at 3:15pm and returned to us at 5:30pm. This was amazing, and we couldn't be more grateful for Ace Hardware employees for working so fast to get us details and Turlock PD for following up. THANK YOU!!

You need some serious help in your dispatch department. I called to report a person in a hospital…read moregown waking down the street from Emanuel Hospital. He was barefoot, it's 100° outside. The back half of his body was showing with ass hanging. My guess is he's psych. Tried calling the non-emergency number and was put on hold right away for a long time. After being tired of waiting and being concerned with the patient I hung up and called the emergency number. The same person answered the phone that put me on hold on the non-emergency phone number. She told me she was the only one in there and she had nine other emergency calls on hold. That's ridiculous! How is it you only have one person handling all the potential emergencies in this town??? And how quick and efficient are the people who might need help getting the help they need in a timely manor??? Get the girl some help!

Things were well-organized; once I found the parking lot and crossed the street to the Merced…read moreCounty Superior Courthouse. I was there to interview as a volunteer juror for the "Civil Grand Jury; which is a judicial body composed of 19 citizens. It is impaneled to act as an "arm of the court," as authorized by the State Constitution, to be a voice of the people, and conscience of the community. California impanels County Civil Grand Juries every year to conduct civil investigations of county and city government and to hear evidence to make recommendations or to decide whether to return indictments. In Merced County, if indictments need to be made, a separate criminal grand jury is impaneled." I had never heard of this type of Grand Jury previously; but I learned a lot by going to the Merced County website https://countyofmerced.com/341/History-of-Grand-Jury and researching it. I recommend that everyone learn more about the legal processes of their local, county and state governments. The information that I found was very useful. My initial reaction had been to ignore the notice or simply say no; however after reading about everything, I decided to go ahead with the interview process. I felt that the interview process was well-thought out: with the majority of the questions the same ones that were asked on the questionnaire that I had returned for the jury selection process. There were a few others that expanded on the original questions; in order to get a better sense of how the interviewee would respond in different situations. I'm glad to have had this opportunity; because I learned quite a bit more about how important individual citizens can be
