I wouldn't have time to pick it up for her in the morning, so I bought the flowers after work the night before. I was worried about it, but the woman who runs the flower shop inside helped me out big time. She was friendly and told me exactly how to store and preserve them. She also wrapped them in a way that was easy for me to carry them out and travel with them. The selection of the flowers was much nicer than I expected going into the farmers market cold (didn't check out Yelp or anything ahead of time). As in other farmers markets, very good prices on fresh flowers. If I can, I'll opt to buy flowers at a market and then wrap them on my own (way to make it more personal). I'll definitely be back in the future.

The Jersey pickles stand and the hummus spot were both must-visits for us. But this little farmers market is not really much to speak of. The one farm that seemed to have fresh produce had awful tasting pastries and very little produce to speak of for outrageous prices. The food trucks were nothing special. They were exceptionally overpriced. This area is slowly getting gentrified but you still have pockets of people who can barely afford to buy their normal groceries, yet the town thinks its ok to have food trucks selling $16 lobster rolls that are barely 4-5 inches long...The seller at the truck said I was the only person to buy one the entire day...I found nothing to showcase the neighborhood...nothing Caribbean. Nothing Creole. Nothing with pulled pork, no ceviche, no conch fritters. There was only one woman who had juices present and some baked goods for a decent price. The music aspect is the best part but is only for the last half hour. The rest of the booths were random institutions or banks that had nearly as much business of being at a fresh/farmers market event as you'd imagine. Meh, I'll just stick to the events in the city that make more sense. It supposedly occurs on Tuesdays throughout the Summer.

Later that afternoon, before picking up my cat I decided to go inside. I wound up getting a few different items. Spices, chocolate covered pretzels, riced heart of palm, a garlic herb and oil blend, and some oil crackers. The had beautiful olive selection and a nice gourmet pickle section as well. I did sample one of the pickles and it was delicious but I was in a little bit of a time crunch. I believe I met the owner of the shop today and he was really kind and helpful. He was able to point out what was made in house and what was ordered for the shore and from where it came from. They also have an online store where you can order some of these products. As of now, there are some items you can't get on the webpage that are only available in the store, I already told my husband I would love to return in the near future.

They didn't stand out from the average jar of pickles I'd be able to buy from the supermarket or even generic brand from Walmart. That aside, I appreciated the kindness of the owner. He said I was allowed to try anything before buying. The freshly packaged candies looked tasty and were tasty. Unfortunately, Pickles are a little more difficult to keep up with as they have a shorter shelf life. I would come back if they made them less salty, more flavorful, and replaced them when the time is right.
